Fashion and Ladies Golf Attire

I picked up one of those ‘Golfing for Women’ type magazines the other week and got to asking myself where these women actually live, who wear the golf apparel shown in women’s golf magazines? I have never seen women, not even the pros, dressed in such expensive and flamboyant clothes.

It’s easy to spend money kitting yourself out for golf: hats, sunglasses, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks, windbreakers and shoes all add up quickly, even if you shop at the sales. Then factor in equipment, bag and cart and you have to play quite often to keep the “CPU” – cost per use down to an acceptable level.

One glossy advert showed a beautiful model in really short shorts (as if that’s allowed on courses!) that cost nearly $300, a golf shirt at almost $600, a jacket by Ralph Lauren at almost $200 and two-toned Utuser shoes costing $400 plus.

That comes to just about $1,500! I know that it would be impossible for me to get the CPU on that outfit down to anywhere near a normal limit in my entire golfing life! Please don’t get me wrong – I do love clothes and I do really, really love shoes, but I could never afford, nor even want, golf shoes or pants that cost as much as most people’s weekly wages.

Granted, you need comfortable golfing shoes that don’t look like an old pair of wooden clogs, but honestly, you will be able to buy less expensive and yet still trendy golfing shoes.

I have a couple of very stylish golfing outfits, although none of them are brand names. If I totalled up the cost of all of them, it would not come to the price of a Tse golf shirt. Personally, I’d rather have several trendy outfits than one outrageously priced one.

If I were to wear a $1,500 outfit to play golf in, I would just be too worried about getting it dirty or sweating in it to play a decent game of golf.

Tips On Lake Fishing.

November 8, 2010 by

Lake fishing is fairly akin to river fishing, or slow-flowing river fishing anyway. The kinds of fish in rivers and lakes tend to be the identical, which means that the tackle, bait and lures will be the similar too, although you may require a longer fishing rod, say, a beach-casting rod to cast your bait further out into the lake. Lake fish will frequently mature to a larger size than river fish, so your line should be more robust too.

Lake fish conventionally been classed under three broad headings. Namely, game fish, food fish, and bait fish. Bass, trout, pike, pickerel, muskellunge, perch, etc., are recognized as game fish because of their sporting importance. Carp, suckers, some of the catfish, yellow perch, etc., are though of as food fish.

This latter group is not considered to provide the sport that the so-called game fish do, but they do have a genuine economic and sporting value. The third kind are the minnows and tiddlers that can be used as bait for the first two classes.

It is not simple to descibe the right technique to cast long distances, but it does come nuturally to quite a few fishermen. However, if casting does not come effortlessly to you, you will need to watch other lake or beach fishermen. If you are not happy doing that, you will be able to find a video on the subject. However, the best method to learn how to cast is to go down to the beach , watch an expert at work and try to do the same.

Nonetheless, lake fishing is enormous fun and the beginner will rapidly learn the correct method of lake fishing. Consequently, I have put a few practical tips here to help you learn lake fishing more quickly.

i]. Try to take up a smooth, whip-like cast. However, if you crack the whip too hard, you will certainly shake off a great deal of bait, flies or lures..

ii]. Timing is the all-significant factor in both the back cast and forward cast.

iii]. Study the lifestyle of the fish that reside in the lake that you intend to fish. All fish have both similar and dissimilar habits, so either obtain a book or video or join a club to learn more.

iv]. The majority of fish like some sort of cover, either for themselves or because their prey will like it there. Be careful of weeds, reeds and submerged logs or you will lose heaps of line and tackle..

v]. The same as I said previously, lake fish tend to be bigger, because food is copious and there is lots of room. A large bass, for example, can easily weigh 10-12 lbs, so make sure that your rod and line are up to the job. A rod of seven feet six inches to eight feet in length can take these sizes of fish.

Lake fishing is not so really different from other kinds of fishing, so if you put a little energy into learning the techniques and fish involved in lake fishing, you will soon master the skill and turn into an expert at lake fishing.

What A Pair Of Womens Trainers Can Achieve

Running brings with it many benefits. Most people will look towards running as an effective method of weight loss. However, there are other positives to taking part in a regular running exercise program. One of the best benefits would be the improved heart health you would experience among other positives. Just be sure that you have a solid pair of womens trainers on your feet when you are out running!

You may be asking yourself if a pair of womens trainers is really necessary. After all are not all sports shoes alike? Believe it or not there are many differences in athletic shoes, and there are a multitude of them to choose from. For instance womens athletic shoes made for baseball are designed specifically to deal with dirt, grass or Astroturf and prevent you from being injured. Womens trainers for running serve basically the same purpose.

The first thing you should understand about womens trainers is their essential function, they are made to keep your feet solidly inside your shoes! These shoes are also designed to absorb much of the impact and shock you get from running, which protects your arches. Running short or long distances can result in trauma to the feet over time without the proper foot wear.

Similarly, a reliable pair of womens trainers can also provide much needed traction on a variety of surfaces. A great deal of danger is present when athletic wear is unable to handle uneven or slippery surfaces. Running trainers will not make the wearer “invulnerable” to such problems. They will, mercifully, reduce the potential for such problems from occurring. This, in turn, enhances the safety for those wearing the shoes.

And, of course, comfort is enhanced with a reliable pair of womens trainers. If your running/jogging/walking exercise sessions left you with a lot of foot pain, you probably would not want to continue with the exercises.

That means you would certainly not get much in terms of health benefits. Really, who would want to take part in a regular exercise program when it is painful? Well, it does not have to be. All you need to do is purchase a quality pair of womens trainers and you can boost comfort levels significantly.

It is not a good idea to just randomly choose a pair of running shoes, this is a hit or miss proposition. There is no reason to take such risks when you can easily research the top brands on the market. Many on-line retailers offer customer reviews of the top brands in their inventory and these will give you a good idea about the pros and cons of each which will allow you to make an informed decision. When you find the best shoes for your personal needs your exercises, sessions will be that much more enjoyable.

The best news yet is the fact that you will not need to spend a great deal of cash to get a good pair of shoes. Quality womens trainers are available at a decent price. You do not have to skimp on quality just to save money on shoes which is great news all the way around!

Nike Golf Shoes

Nike golf shoes are one of the tools you can use to improve your game. If you have only played golf in casual footwear before, or if you’re looking for a way to improve your general game, investing in a good pair of golf shoes can make a large difference. Like in other sports, the shoes you wear can directly impact on your performance.

As you have to develop a smooth swing and be able to follow through on that swing in golf, all without losing any control of the strength in your swing, your golf shoes can assist or spoil your game for you. Nike golf shoes have been designed to help you balance, gripping the turf as much as needed and allowing you to get full strength and control behind each and every swing.

Since these golf shoes have special compartments in the heels, every step is easier to make. They offer the level of support your feet, legs and knees require in order to play golf very comfortably over long periods of time.

Since golf usually involves lots of walking, Nike golf shoes have been constructed as a blend of walking shoe and golf shoe. They cushion the joints of your legs and knees against impact with each step you take, allowing you to concentrate your strength and effort on your game of golf, rather than on how you are going to get to the next hole or to wherever your ball landed.

When you decide to buy Nike golf shoes, there are several things that you should keep in mind. The first thing you need to consider is your level of skill. Golf, like many other sports, has apparel that can be used by novices or advanced professionals alike, but it is better to differentiate.

In most cases, beginners pick Nike golf shoes designed for professionals, but rarely end up getting the full potential of the shoe, as they are not sure how they can be used to their best advantage.

While professionals definitely can get fantastic use out of these Nike golf shoes, it is often better for novices to purchase entry level Nike golf shoes which would better suit their needs. The increase in power given to your stroke will often be wasted on those who are beginners, as they do not yet possess the requisite skill to control the stroke as much as they would need to.

Therefore, it is better to buy the Nike golf shoes that match your level of skill, as these shoes will have the comfort and features you require. You can purchase Nike golf shoes from a number of sources. For those who want cheaper shoes yet still require the quality of the professional shoes, you could buy last year’s shoes from Nike outlet centers.

If you want only top of the line golf shoes, you can purchase from online Nike stockists or through a number of online retail outlets (see below).

The best that this can be done especially if they still aren’t stable on their feet when walking is to give them one of the many ride on toys for boys that are now available.

However, with so many different kinds of ride on toys now available it can prove difficult for you to decide which one is going to be the best one for them. So to help you we take a look at what is now available.

All the child needs to do is sit in or on the seat and then push themselves around on it using their feet. The Razor Kick Scooter Series

July 25, 2010 by

The Razor kick scooter is the present-day counterpart of the type of scooter that has been about for 50 years or more. In actuality, kids have almost certainly been fixing boards to wheels ever since scrap wheels became available. As with those classic scooters, the Razor kick scooter is propelled forward by foot power. That is, you put one foot on the board and push forward, or in other words kick back on the ground with the other.

This method of propulsion makes the Razor kick scooter an idyllic mode of transportation, exercise and fun for kids of all ages. In deed, Razor do not advocate a Razor kick scooter for the under fives unless supervised and state in their handbook:

“Children under age eight (8) should ride with adult supervision at all times. All children and preteens should ride with adult guidance at all times”.

This appears rather severe to me and is probably an case of over-caution because of the litigious society we live in. Just try suggesting to a twelve-year that you have to exercise guidance on all of his or her trips!

Having said that the Razor kick scooter comes in roughly seven different guises. There is the Kiddie Kick scooter for the under fives. It is constructed of tough plastic and has a third wheel for greater stability.

Then there is the ‘A’ series of Razor kick scooter: the A, A2, A3 and AW. These models are roughly equal to a child’s growth in size, competence and experience, although the maximum recommended weight for all three models of Razor kick scooter is 65 kilos or 143 lbs.

The Razor kick scooter Pro is a jump up in expertise and so has more capabilities. It can be used for extreme sport and will carry a rider weighing up to 100 kilos or 220 lbs.

Last, but not least, is the Cruiser Razor kick scooter. It will bear 79 kilos (175 lbs of weight and has larger wheels as it is designed for unhurried cruising about. The larger wheels mean that you won’t feel any uneven terrain beneath you while you are on this Razor kick scooter.

All of these Razor kick scooters share similar characteristics. All of these models of the Razor kick scooter are of very robust assembly and all but the Razor Kiddie Kick scooter are manufactured of high-grade aluminium and are built to last.

These Razor kick scooters boast extendable steering rods, which means that they can be pulled up to expand with your child or can be shared by kids of assorted sizes. They also share a tough braking system which is applied on the rear wheel, rendering them ultra-safe for use around pedestrians.

A Razor kick scooter starts at about $40 and so is an economical method for you to ensure that that your child gets regular exercise, gets out from behind his computer, gets some fresh air and sunlight and learns about politeness while having enjoyment being mobile. Apart from all these benefits, a Razor kick scooter will give your child tender reminiscences to look back on for the rest of his or her being.

Reading Reviews On Scooters And Motorbikes

June 15, 2010 by

I have read tons of reviews about scooters and motorbikes, because I am a subscriber to a scooter and motorcycle enthusiasts’ magazine that carries articles about all the different sorts of scooters and motorcycles on the market. It also recommends the best one to buy depending on whether you are a first time owner or a two-wheeler old hand. The magazine is fantastic, and it helps me understand what other scooter owners feel about the different models and brands of scooters.

I have to say that people’s views vary quite widely on every subject, which is why it’s probably always better to do your own research and get what best suits you, rather than getting what other people say will suit you, when they do not even know you. Having said that, many first time buyers do not honestly know what they are looking for, and it is really these people that these reviews are written for.

However, these reviews are not meant to be taken too factually, rather they are intended as a guideline so that prospective novice buyers have to ruminate about the aspects of buying a scooter or motorbike. It also gives experts a run down of the most important facts. Then you need to make up your own mind whether you care, for example, whether the scooter’s seat is made of leather or plastic.

All in all, I like this magazine because it takes into account people from all walks of life, and its writers and editor understand that even if you are interested in purchasing a scooter, you may not have enough money or you might be reading just out of interest in scooters or motorcycles.

We all know that money is difficult to come by these days, and purchasers are becoming more and more well-informed about the goods they want, which is a good thing in my eyes. After all, there are other merchants who only want to get the most money they can for their products and mark up their scooter prices to excessive amounts in the hope that they will get a couple of foolish patrons that did not do their groundwork.

And I am sure that they probably do get a few customers like that, because they do stay in business one way or another and I regularly hear awfulness stories about people who have paid far too much for their scooter or motorbike.

When you ask them why they did not take the trouble to read the reviews in a magazine, they usually say that they did not know about the magazines, or even worse, that they did not have enough time. Therefore it seems that they had enough time to work like a dog for the money, but then not enough time to read a short magazine review? I doubt it very much. With a bit of luck, consumers will continue becoming more and more careful about their purchases.

It is such a pity, so, If you happen to be a new scooter fan, or you know someone who is, please make sure you read the scooter and motorbike reviews before making a purchase. It can literally save you hundreds or even thousands of your hard earned dollars.

Fly Fishing 101

June 3, 2010 by

The purpose of this article is to assist the beginner fly fishing. The terminology and the basic methods employed in fly fishing may be unfamiliar to the beginner at fly fishing, so we will commence from the very beginning. Therefore, if you are a beginner fly fishing person, please read on.

The instruments needed for fly fishing are usually known as tackle, although if you want to be more specific about the sort of things you need, you can tack on the words “fly fishing”. So, we use the phrase: “fly fishing tackle”. Fly fishing tackle, or gear, fundamentally consists of artificial flies, a fly rod, a fly reel and fly line. The set-up is: the fly is attached to the line, which is wound around the reel, which is attached to the rod or pole, which is used to cast the fly or other bait.

In order to be able to cast the fly as far as possible, the line has to be a little heavier than other types of line, because a weight is used in other forms of fishing to achieve the same effect. Also, the artificial flies come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours to reflect real, live flies, depending on the type of fish the angler intends to catch.

In general, the artificial fly is made of hair, plastic, feathers, fabric, fur and other materials in order to make the lure as closely resemble as possible the insect or fly most commonly eaten by the particular species of fish at that particular month or time of the day. This means that each fishing spot requires that you choose a certain type of artificial fly that will look like the insects living in the area where your desired species of fish frequent. Therefore, a kind of fly employed in one part of the region may not be as successful as you’d think in another.

There are classifications of flies too, although they fall into two basic super categories, which are referred to as ‘attractive’ and ‘imitative’. The imitative artificial flies look like real flies, whereas the attractive flies just rely on colour or the twinkling of sunlight in order to lure fish without necessarily resembling the fish’s usual prey.

Further sub-classifications are then used to sub-divide artificial fly fishing lures into: a] dry (resembling grasshoppers, dragonflies, etc. which float on or near the surface of the water); b] sub-surface (resembling larvae, pupae) and c] wet (resembling leeches and minnows and other small fish or fry).

The main difference between fly fishing and non-fly fishing is that fly fishing depends a lot on the weight of the line to carry the artificial lure to that part of the water where your fish are swimming, probably at a distance from the bank. The line is often camouflaged and hollow.

However, non-fly fishing depends rather on the added weight, usually made of lead previously, to draw the line off the reel and carry it on to the correct spot, where the weight will also take the bait or lure down to the feeding fish.

The Razor A Scooter Could Save You Money

May 31, 2010 by

The Razor A scooter is a fantastic proposal for anyone wanting to remain healthy. These days loads of individuals are office-bound and we all appear to have a reduced amount of time for just going out for a stroll, which is the age-old antidote for putting on a couple of pounds. The Razor A scooter can assist you here.

How frequently have you thought, ‘I haven’t got time to walk’ or ‘I can’t be bothered to walk’ and then have hopped in the automobile instead? But what if you had a Razor A scooter to hand? You could just scooter down to the shop or the park. You could take the dog for more walks and at a snappier speed too, something your dog would definitely be grateful for.

The Razor A series or its bigger siblings, the Razor Pro or Razor Cruiser, are not costly costing between $40 and $60, cheaper at Amazon or eBay, yet they will quickly save you hundreds of dollars on fuel. After all, starting a car is often the most expensive part of a short journey.

The Razor A scooter is also very versatile. Weighing in at approximately six pounds, any person could carry it without difficulty up or down a few steps or lift it in or out of the boot of a car. But not only that, it folds up too, so that the complete scooter is only a couple of feet long by six inches high by six inches wide. It will without difficulty fit in a hallway sideboard or the boot of a car.

Your Razor A scooter could be used in numerous ways to save you money and keep you trimmer. For example, if you need a loaf of bread, you could jump on your scooter. You could take you dog to the park. You could scooter with your kids ‘in a pack’. You could put a Razor A scooter in the boot of your car and scooter the last half a mile into school. And every time you get on that scooter, you are burning not motor fuel but fat!

Think of it that way. You are saving fuel and money and burning your surplus calories at the same time. You are also exercising your legs and increasing your metabolism and heart rate too. That is everything the bank manager and the doctor advised all rolled into one . And you will be in first-class company too.

Do you know who else’s kids ride Razor A scooters? Well, there’s Al Pacino’s twins for a start. Now, Al Pacino is not short of a few dollars, I’m sure, so you can be assured that he’s going to be looking for the finest for his kids, isn’t he? And Lisa Kudrow and her son. And Liv and Cal, offspring of Julianne Moore and Bart Freundlich. You would be forgiven for thinking, ‘Aw well, they got theirs for nothing!’ and that may be true, but at roughly $40 who cares?

The advantages in saved motor fuel and increased exercise make the Razor A scooter a must-have essential in my book. So, take another look at the Razor A scooter and remember, someone’s birthday’s coming up in a little while.

You do not have to worry about holding on with your toes. There is a slight heel on most of these shoes that ranges from 3/4′ heel to a 2 1/2′ heel, but with the comfort of the backstrap, the sandals are much more comfortable than you might imagine.

3. Toe Stap Sandals – Like the majority of the NAOT sandals, these have a slight heel with a range from 1/4′ to one 3/4′, which isn’t that bad, and you’ll notice that for a flip flop, these sandals are totally comfortable.
