Fashion and Ladies Golf Attire

I picked up one of those ‘Golfing for Women’ type magazines the other week and got to asking myself where these women actually live, who wear the golf apparel shown in women’s golf magazines? I have never seen women, not even the pros, dressed in such expensive and flamboyant clothes.

It’s easy to spend money kitting yourself out for golf: hats, sunglasses, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks, windbreakers and shoes all add up quickly, even if you shop at the sales. Then factor in equipment, bag and cart and you have to play quite often to keep the “CPU” – cost per use down to an acceptable level.

One glossy advert showed a beautiful model in really short shorts (as if that’s allowed on courses!) that cost nearly $300, a golf shirt at almost $600, a jacket by Ralph Lauren at almost $200 and two-toned Utuser shoes costing $400 plus.

That comes to just about $1,500! I know that it would be impossible for me to get the CPU on that outfit down to anywhere near a normal limit in my entire golfing life! Please don’t get me wrong – I do love clothes and I do really, really love shoes, but I could never afford, nor even want, golf shoes or pants that cost as much as most people’s weekly wages.

Granted, you need comfortable golfing shoes that don’t look like an old pair of wooden clogs, but honestly, you will be able to buy less expensive and yet still trendy golfing shoes.

I have a couple of very stylish golfing outfits, although none of them are brand names. If I totalled up the cost of all of them, it would not come to the price of a Tse golf shirt. Personally, I’d rather have several trendy outfits than one outrageously priced one.

If I were to wear a $1,500 outfit to play golf in, I would just be too worried about getting it dirty or sweating in it to play a decent game of golf.

You must have been to a pool bar in a hotel on holiday where one of the bars faces onto the water and there are seats in the water, usually totally submerged so that the drinkers can sit at the bar in the water and enjoy their drink. Imagine holding a party in your garden with a pool and an in-pool bar!

These bars are called pool bars or swim up bars and can be found in hotels, holiday complexes and the gardens of the well-to-do and the clever-with-their-hands.

It is doubtful whether anyone knows for sure where pool bars first appeared but they have been in the Caribbean, Portugal and Spain for a long time. I have also seen them on cruise liners.

The first option is to build, have built or purchase pre-formed. Then you can select the style that you like. If you are going to buy a kit and have the vendors install it for you, then you only have to make an appointment and a week later, the bar will be complete. If, however, you are going to use a local contractor or do-it-yourself, you will need a drawing, plan or design.

You will be able to get lots of ideas from the Net and you could download images of styles of pool bars that you like. You can download these images and print them off, but it is better to download them into a folder or onto a flash card or memory stick so that you have them all together and you can take them with you to discuss with friends, family and professionals.

It should not need to be pointed out that all the materials used in your pool bar should be impervious to and totally unaffected by water and chlorine, which is particularly corrosive. This usually leaves a choice of concrete, resin and stone.

The Circle of Life is was first defined when Buddhists made karate, which means “empty hands”, which refers to the way that they fight. This would eventually become the basis of martial arts.

Buddhists were nomadic, often under attack by bandits and muggers, or they may find their temples being attacked or raided. This caused them to create a fighting style – karate.

Do the following: raise your arms to the sky, then move it around, like you’re a windmill. Move your arms forward then back. Do something similar with your legs. Lift one leg up as high as you can, then spin, paying attention to the area it covers. Do the same for your other leg. Make sure to pay close attention to the area you’re moving through.
