Tips To Find Fat Burning Foods On Vacation

When ever I go away on holiday I always find it challenging to stick to my healthy diet. Firstly, it can be very difficult to find fat burning foods when you’re in a strange town or a foreign country. And then there is always the risk that you’ll go off the rails and revert to eating junk food.
So here are a few tips to help you find healthy foods when you go on vacation.
Go Grilled
Don’t just shelve your good habits when you go on vacation. Or you’ll be sure to shelve your lean physique too! Delicious and satisfying foods are available wherever you go, and you don’t need to sacrifice nutritional value either.
So remember that you’re aiming for grilled meat and fish. And stay well away from fried foods.
If you’re visiting a coastal town or city the chances are that there will be an endless supply of fresh seafood. If you’re heading inland then it is more likely that red meat and poultry will dominate the menu.
Remember to trust your experience and knowledge when choosing from the menu. Is the food prepared in a way that seems healthy to you? Would you be prepared to cook this way? If not then it’s best to make another choice!
Go Local
Whenever I’ve traveled I’ve found the smaller, local places do the best food. Whether it’s because they take pride in showcasing the fresh, local produce, or because they take more pride in how the food tastes I’m not sure. Well maybe it’s both! But locally sourced food generally means fresh, natural and delicious.
Local restaurants, and their chefs, specialize in getting the most flavor out of their food! And this is good for you because it typically means that healthier cooking options are used, rather than convenience, processed foods and cooking techniques.
However, fast food chains are known for sourcing low quality, mass produced foods. And preparing them in an unhealthy way.
Remember, if there is an ingredient that you know is bad for you then you can always ask the chef to leave that out of your meal. Or you can remove it from your plate once you are served.
Be Prepared
Whether you’re out on a day trip or lounging about on the beach, you’re going to need to satisfy your hunger at some point.
But when you’re in unfamiliar surroundings it can be hard to find a place to eat. And if you do, you’re only choice might be an ice cream stall and a greasy diner!
And this is where fat burning snacks come in handy!
I am a massive fan of mixed nuts. These nutritional powerhouse are filling and great for blasting belly fat. So I travel with them as much as I can.
Whether it is sightseeing or the beach, these little guys are easy to pack and store. And they’re light too! Always ready for a quick hunger fighting snack.
Slightly more fragile than mixed nuts, fresh fruit (with a skin or in Tupperware) is also a healthy and handy option. I’m a big fan of picking up a couple of pieces of fruit from my hotel’s breakfast bar and packing them in my day bag.
I go for a banana, apples, oranges, kiwi… you get the picture.
Take The Time To Enjoy Yourself
A vacation isn’t a vacation if you aren’t enjoying yourself. And the occasional treat is all part and parcel of that.
Don’t be afraid to look at the dessert menu. If you see something that looks irresistible then go for it. I personally enjoy a good dessert once in a while.
But don’t go thinking that you can get away with eating a dessert with every meal! Remember what refined sugar does to you; it leaves you feeling bloated, lethargic, sluggish, not to mention it puts your body into fat storage mode!
It really all comes down to being sensible and trusting your choices. If you’re following a balanced, healthy and fat burning nutritional program then you’ll know your limits, and you won’t be craving junk foods in the first place!
Finally, don’t get stressed out by factors you can’t control. If you’re eating out then the quality and preparation of your food is out of your hands. There will never be a perfect “holiday diet”. But by following the tips and tricks above you can still go home in great shape.

Negative Calorie Food: The Dietary Substitute For Exercise.

Ever heard of foodstuffs that can help you to burn out excess fats in your system? Well such foods exist and these foods are known as negative calorie food. Gaining weight is an issue that a lot of people have to deal with at least once in their lives. For the most part you will be caught up in dieting regimes that forbid the intake of food as if it were a sin to eat. But losing weight has never been this simpler. The discovery of this food quality has helped a lot of people come up with a healthy solution to weight problems.
Foods that possess negative calories are in abundance in our raw environment. Grapefruits are one source of negative calories. The acidic nature of grapefruits and citrus fruits is what helps to burn the fat. Other foods that have this component are lemons; lettuce; oranges; tomatoes; watermelons; pumpkins; peaches and papaya. But these aren\’t the only ones; most green vegetables contain negative calories.
Knowing the way negative calories functions helps you to know what actually happens when you consume them. Grapefruits; lemons and naartjies have acid in them. It is this acidic component that is important when it comes to metabolism and the digestion of food. The breakdown of fats is quicker when there are sufficient acids in the system.
Vegetables that possess negative calories are cabbage; lettuce and broccoli. Now, these foods are fibrous and they have a lot of fibre in them. So the reason why these are good when it comes to dieting is that they take long to digest. If they take long to digest that means they require more energy to digest and it is this quality that makes them bur out fats. They also give the feeling of being full, something that will inevitably make you eat way less than usual.
Negative calorie foods shouldn\’t just be eaten carelessly. The fact that these foods can burn out more fat than they possess shouldn\’t be a reason for you to incorporate them recklessly. Eat negative calorie food in their fresh state. If you\’re going to have cabbage I would suggest you eat it raw as part of a salad. You need not add anything like salt or salad dressing because doing so will weaken their effectiveness.
A balanced diet is key to reaping the most benefits from negative calorie food. Don\’t just eat negative calories alone because you really want to lose weight. Eat other foodstuffs as well and don\’t neglect proteins; carbohydrates and vitamins. Eating a lot of these negative calories doesn\’t exactly mean you will lose weight faster.
Negative calorie foods are good for a person who is trying to lose weight but these foods shouldn\’t be taken in excess. Don\’t forget that your body still needs calories regardless of the fact that they can be harmful if in excess. Take in calorie containing foods so that your body\’s natural metabolism is supported with no neglect.
If you\’re investing in negative calorie food as a means to lose weight I suggest that you exercise as well. There is a common myth that these foods are enough to keep your body in shape. But that\’s not the truth. You will have to exercise often to reap the most benefit from a negative calorie diet.

Negative Calorie Foods: Found in Many Diets

If you’ve done much research on diets at all, then you’ve probably already run across the concept of negative calorie foods. The negative calorie food diet is one that has come under a lot of scrutiny, but despite this it’s an idea that has created a lot of imitators based around the same basic principles. For a much criticized diet, it sure has a lot of imitators!
This imitation means that there are a great deal of diets based at least in part around foods that are part of the negative calorie foods list. Some of these related fad diets include the grapefruit diet, pineapple diet, and cabbage soup diet. Aside from these popular fad diets, it’s also obvious that vegetarian diets will also have a lot in common with this weight loss plan since all the foods on this list are either fruits or vegetables.
While the pineapple diet has several different forms (and often includes lean meats like tuna), every version of this diet revolves around eating tons of pineapple. Pineapple is one of many fruits found on the negative calorie foods list, and it is often mentioned as an extremely healthy fruit that contains enzymes which are hard for the body to break down, thus encouraging weight loss.
Of all the diet examples listed, perhaps the cabbage soup diet is the most well known, and also the eating plan that most firmly uses negative calorie foods. Aside from the three days where only certain types of fruits and vegetables are allowed (other than the soup), the base soup of this diet is made almost completely from ingredients that appear on the famous list of these foods. Compare the two and the similarities will jump out at you.
The grapefruit diet is another example. Grapefruit is a hugely popular diet food because it is low in calories, high in water & vitamins, and is hard for the body to process ” meaning more calories are used to burn it up. Grapefruit is also yet another food on the negative calorie list.
Many different vegetables are listed as “negative calorie foods,” meaning that vegetarian diets are going to have many of these foods. The biggest difference will be that vegetarians can eat high calorie vegetables and things like grain and rice ” which are not on the list.
Even beyond the ones mentioned in this article, there are many other diets out there which are based in some form or another on these foods. While not many of these diets are likely to admit to the truth, the evidence is obvious.
All arguments aside, you’re not likely to ever find someone who says eating more fruit and vegetables is a bad nutritional choice. Negative calorie foods are all about the fruits and veggies, so no matter what type of arguments remain this diet is likely to stay around.

Negative calorie foods are an idea that comes up often to anyone who does research online about weight loss. There have been many arguments over this particular weight loss plan, but there’s no question that there are many imitators who are basing their dieting plans around some of the same ideas as negative calorie foods.
There are a large number of diets that revolve around a fruit or vegetable that appear on a negative calorie foods list. If imitation is still considered the top form of flattery, then eating plans such as the cabbage soup diet, grapefruit diet, and pineapple diet are all paying fine tribute.
The pineapple diet has several different forms, but all revolve around eating a lot of pineapple. Pineapple is found on the negative calorie foods list, and is often mentioned as a healthy food that has enzymes that are hard for the body to break down, encouraging weight loss.
The cabbage soup diet is perhaps the most popular example of a diet that has many of the same foods, roots, and tenants as the negative calorie foods diet. While this eating plan varies in a great many ways, and also takes into account calorie cycling and nutrient cycling, the base cabbage soup that’s eaten every day is composed almost completely of vegetables found on the negative calorie list. There are also days on this diet that only allow fruits, vegetables, or both, in addition to the soup – making this a close working model of how negative calories can be built into a diet.
This article only lists a few of the dietary plans that copy a lot from the idea of negative calories. Pretty impressive for something that some people insist on calling a fad, but the proof is in the pudding as the old saying goes – and the diets listed in this article aren’t the only ones who get their root idea from the same place.
All arguments aside, you’re not likely to ever find someone who says eating more fruit and vegetables is a bad nutritional choice. Negative calorie foods are all about the fruits and veggies, so no matter what type of arguments remain this diet is likely to stay around.
