How to Reduce Your Love Handles – the Diet

Many years a go, people believed that exercise was the main component in reducing love handles and general weight loss. But with new research, diet has been recognized as the leading factor in helping you lose weight.
Therefore, the first step in getting rid of love handles is to assess what you are putting into your mouth. Eating junk food, snacking between meals and excessive carbohydrates are all ingredients of a bad diet. Bad diets = excessive waist size. The best place to start is to keep a track of what you are eating, just for a week, to really see if what you are eating is right. Usually you will find that just a few tweaks here and there is all you need to start shifting some fat.
You will need to figure out what you are trying to achieve. Only you can know what diet will be best for you and you alone. Do you have allergies? How much do you want to lose? Are all factors that need to be considered when developing a diet for yourself.
Typically a good diet is one that limits the amount of junk food, chocolate, crisps, sweets, rice, pasta and excessive bread. Then upping your intake of protein, good fats, salad and vegetables. These food groups in your diet supply your body with the correct nutrients that so your body feels ‘safe’ to burn fat as fuel.
Your body feels safe and OK to burn fat when it has all the right components that make a good diet. If it is lacking these, or feels starved, does not get enough rest it will want to keep fat on the body in order to survive. So getting all the nutrients lets the body know that it is OK to burn fat as you are not in any danger of dying.
You cannot out train a bad diet, but you can out diet bad training.
