Improve Your Brain By Using Brain Workouts

The brain is like a central processing unit of the human anatomy. It is the organ which allows a person to think, to learn and remember things. Just like any muscle in the body, the brain needs exercise in order for it to develop into a strong organ. These exercises include good health habits that are designed to help build your brain.
At the top of the list when it comes to good habits for the human brain is sleeping. It is no wonder why your body is required to get at least 8 hours of sleep every day. Brain cells are developed and the memory is improved when you sleep. Try memorizing some notes just before you close your eyes to sleep at night. The next day you will have more chances of remembering what you have studied than when you delayed getting to bed.
Too much stress is bad for the brain, as it is for every organ in your body. Studies have proven that stress is directly related to the death of memory cells in the brain. That is the reason why you find it hard to remember things or think properly when you are under pressure. Some stress is appropriate for the body. But there is bad stress and that’s what you have to be aware of.
Do you know that you can actually feed your brain? What I mean is, there are foods that are perfect for the brain as there are foods good for the heart. In fact, most of heart-healthy foods are also brain-healthy. Food rich in omega-3 like tuna, mackerel, and salmon are all good brain foods. Other brain-healthy food may include your favorite chocolate and almond, coffee and also berries. Delicious aren’t they?
Another exciting exercise (game actually) for the brain are mentally challenging games you can always play during free time. Crossword puzzles, Scrabble, and other word games when played can help you make healthy brain connections. New cells in the brain’s hippocampus are generated every time you do some mind challenging activities.
Board games are also good workout for your grey matter. Grab your chess or checker board and play against a friend. You can also play against the computer if no human opponent is available. The important is thing is you build, develop and improve your brain while enjoying some fun games at the same time.

The Greatest Five Starting Pitchers In Baseball

We’re in the midst of a lull in the baseball world, as the World Series ended two months ago and it’s yet another few months before the new season begins.
With that in mind, there are lots of articles that I have written all about this game. Right now, I am going to talk about five pitchers who I think are currently some of the best ones in the sport of baseball right now.
Here are my top five as I see them. Feel free to agree or disagree, and I’d love to see you share your thoughts if you have a different opinion.
Coming in at #5 on my list is Zack Greinke, who definitely came away with the greatest season last year as a pitcher. If he can do that again during the next season and the season after that, then he is going to move up on my list for sure. When all is said and done, Greinke is going to go far in this sport, especially seeing what a dangerous pitcher he continues to be.
In the #4 spot is Roy Halladay, known for always being a very reliable pitcher. In the future, Halladay will no doubt be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Chris Carpenter has the #3 spot. Somehow he finds a way to always be fantastic in this sport. You would have thought that not playing for almost two seasons would have made him rusty, but, in fact, Carpenter actually pitched better than he ever has before.
Naturally, Johan Santana makes this list too. Even though he hasn’t won a Cy Young award since joining the Mets, there’s one thing that you can count on in Santana, and that’s a great season year in and year out. For this reason, Santana makes number two on my list.
The #1 spot on my list definitely goes to Tim Lincecum. He has dominated this sport for two years now and is without a doubt the pitcher who is best at getting strikeouts. WOW is the word that comes to mind when I think about Lincecum’s ERA in the twos!
Aside from baseball, this writer also regularly publishes information regarding modern floor lamps and mini pendant lights.

Carbohydrates are turned into sugars from which your body draws its energy. It is worth noting that if eat more carbs than your body can burn the surplus will be stored as fat. It is important to remember that carbs need to be eaten sparingly whilst you are training. Counting you carbohydrate intake may not be the most interesting thing in the world but it will help you to achieve the goals you have set yourself, you want bigger stronger muscles not fat. You need energy to train that is a simple fact, carbohydrates give you that energy so removing them from your diet is bad all you need to do is make sure that you don’t go carb crazy. How fast you can absorb and use carbohydrates depends on how fast your body’s metabolism is. It is a good idea to talk to your personal trainer to see if carbs would be able to enhance your workout experience.
Body building success doesn’t depend on just eating the right foods, you have to consume the right amount of foods for you to be able to reach you goals.
