I Stomped On Eight Deadly Ninjas In A Bar Fight Using Spetsnaz Karate Techniques!

Now the catalogue of this kind of crap is huge. Over the past couple of decades I have seen–take a breath–super secret ninja death commando spetznat cyberneurotic Green Beret government doesn’t want you to know eight barroom killer tricks. And the list is a lot longer, but you know the kind of tripe what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about cheaters who bilk you out of hard earned bucks by promising you the moon, then give you watered down, generic outhouse stuffings and call it the real martial arts. I saw one the other day, Captain Chris, or Major X, or whatever he called himself. He’s still selling the same bullwash and calling it gold, and getting rich off unsuspecting, honest martial arts practitioners.
Now you and I know one simple truth…there is no excuse for hard work. If you want to be able to defend yourself then you have to work out, and work out long and hard. Fortunately there is one other simple truth…working out is fun!
When you work out you build up a sweat, you get rid of poisons in the body, your mind starts to think better, and you get this world beating confidence. A confidence that makes you feel like you’re a giant. A confidence that tells you–yes, you can conquer the world!
Now, the story behind these ‘I beat eight skinhead bikers in a bar in the Ozarks’ is pretty dumb. The author has gotten a hold of a few DVDs, or watched the net, and he realizes that the right hand can block both the a right fist and a left fist, and most attackers use their fists, and if you watch the shoulder you can see when he’s going to move. So he puts together eight tricks where you attack eight different ways, and gives it a phony scientific title.
Look, I’m not pulling your leg, it really is that simple, and it really is that shabby. I mean, why not just go ahead and study the art, find out about another culture, practice an exotic discipline, and really learn something? When you really know the true martial arts you will laugh very hard at those killer commando death techniques, those so called youtube experts with their snippets of bushwah, those super secret CIA agents who learned from Shaolin Monks in a hidden monastery.
Those people who try to sell you ‘become a killer quick’ courses are just reaching into your pocket and stealing your money. It’s best if you toss out those comic book notions and find a real martial arts teacher and learn the truth. Look, there is nothing wrong with studying on your own, you just need to seek out the real art and not fall for that super secret spetznatz karate techniques.
If you want the real martial art, I’m putting together 25 books for only $10. This is six entire arts, studied over a forty year period, and which will make you into a true martial artist. This is my answer to the scammers who want to cheat people, so click on over to 25 martial art Books. 1
Three Interesting Instructions From Kata Unsu

Unsu literally translates as Cloud Hands, and it was supposedly introduced to Shotokan Karate by Kenwa Mabuni. He taught the form to either Funakoshi’s son, or Nakayama. Originally, the form is supposed to be an old kung fu form from the dragon style.
First things first, there are moves that would never be used in fighting. Still, the moves give athleticism (should one survive them), and can’t be totally discounted. Remember this when you do your flying 360 double with a foot sweep on the end.
Second thing to be noted, and on the good side of the matter, there are some fierce changes of direction that it would be well to work on. These moves are very useful when it comes to streetfighting, easy to do, and you just need to keep them doing and let your speed evolve. Take a look at videos unsu is shown on when you go hunting on youtube, you will likely find a couple of dazzlers.
Third thing to be noted, and back to the bad side, many people do Unsu Kata for competition, and this accentuates the flashy and not so useful, and to demoralize the functional. This is actually one of the things that has gone wrong with the martial arts in general, and not with just shotokan karate. I believe it was Gichin Funakoshi, you may have heard of the fellow, who pointed out that martial arts shouldn’t be done for glory.
Master Funakoshi’s words in mind, one can see that virtually all arts have fallen to this problem. Kata bunkai are often slaughtered just to titillate a few screaming fans. This is a shame, as it tends to destroy the art.
Having brought this to your attention, there are some solutions to the problem. One solution is to rework Unsu, and find the moves under the skin. Do this, and you may end up with a form as short and sweet, yet as significant and worthwhile, as Sanchin.
The other method would be to spend a lifetime pursuing perfection through the unsu bunkai, a daunting task, yet…there is appeal here. Still, to perfect jump spinning double kick kata, which will be less than useful in specific terrain, once one gets a bit older, and so on, might be a fool’s path. Of course one could do both: follow the difficult path as long as one is young, then shift to the shorter, more functional path–and, in the end, perhaps that is the solution to kata unsu.
At Monster Martial Arts you can get kata Unsu, and ten other katas, along with a HUGE number of applications. The video course is called Temple Karate. 4
Using Karate Techniques To Find The True Art

The first step, in making your art work, is to make your stance work. The forms teach how to get into stances from a variety of directions and previous postures. So one should practice the movements of the kata until this concept of transitioning from stance to stance can be done without thought.
The second step, if you are going to make the karate forms real, is to make sure your limbs are in functional positions. There are many arm positions in the martial arts techniques where your limbs cannot support weight enough to make the technique work. You must examine your form and change arm positions until they become functional in real world situations.
The third step is to have proper body alignment between the floor and the target. The body is a chain of muscles and bones from earth to strike (block), and you must make sure that every piece of the body is properly aligned. The old wisdom, a chain is as strong as its weakest link, is certainly important here.
The fourth step if you are going to make karate moves mean anything, is to focus on your breathing. Breathing should be relaxed, but aimed upon keeping the abdomen tight, especially upon hitting, or getting hit. Breathing simply for breathing sake, such as in Goju Ryu Karate, must be examined for real function, and possibly altered if you are going to have real martial arts self defense.
The fifth and final step, and ultimately the most necessary, is that you must have Coordinated Body Motion (CBM) when you use your body. You must harmonize all motion, taking into account the length and mass of every muscle and limb, and the entire torso. You must understand how this all relates to timing, and you must make your body motions utilize this harmonious timing.
An intriguing tidbit of data is that martial arts fighting has very little to do with finding The True Art. As a matter of fact, fighting tends to disrupt the mental processes that are necessary to put the pieces together that will resurrect your martial art. This piece of information is something that the old masters understood, and not just because they were old.
At any rate, any art can be a great art, but it requires a great instructor, and a great student. The purpose of this bit of writing has been to encourage students to be their own great teachers. Ultimately, you are who is responsible for your progress, and if you understand that then it will be easy to use Karate techniques to find the True Art.
