Goal setting and focus are key competencies to have when working towards natural weight loss. By setting clear weight loss goals, you can develop a plan that includes diet, exercise and more, to help you achieve those goals. And then, once you have clear goals with a plan to achieve them, the plan helps you to stay focused on the goals. However, staying focused can sometimes be a challenge with our crazy schedules and lives these days, and a great solution to overcome this challenge is to track your goals, plan and progress in a diary.

Track your goals. First, know what your weight loss goals are and include them at the top of every page of your diary. This will help you stay focused on the true goal at hand, and will help you develop and track your plan to achieve the goals on each page of your diary.

Track your diet for weight loss. Be sure to include all that you eat and drink on any given day to truly have an awareness of your nutritional and caloric intake. Be very honest as this is the only way to awareness to truly know how you’re doing in regards to eating what you need to in order to lose weight naturally and achieve your goals.

Track your weight loss exercise program and routine. No matter what activity you choose to incorporate into your weight loss program, be sure to track it. Track the days in which you do the activity, the duration, and how many calories you’ve burnt. Again, awareness is key, so by tracking, you can look back over your diary and see what weeks you’ve maybe skipped a lot of your exercise program, or on the flip side, you can reward yourself for meeting your daily exercise goal to achieve your ideal weight!

Track your water intake for natural weight loss. Water intake is so important whether you’re trying to lose weight or not, so be sure to at least drink 64 ounces of water a day, and then some. And track the time of day you drink the water, as well, as you don’t want to drink too much at one time.

Include motivational and positive aspects in your diary. Mindset and positive motivation are key to achieving any goal so include positive affirmations, pictures, quotes, or anything that helps keep you focused and in a positive frame of mind when it comes to losing weight naturally.

These five tips will get you well on your way to a positive outcome when attempting to lose weight naturally. The question of whether or not weight loss hypnosis works can be answered with the simple caveat, individual results might vary. Though hypnosis has been a technique employed in psychiatric treatment since the mid 1800′s it still is not completely understood. The fundamental goal of weight loss hypnosis is to change a dieter’s outlook on food and try to prevent weight loss sabotage through vices such as over snacking, too much fast food, an uncontrolled sweet tooth, eating to sate boredom or stress and other such habits that can derail a diet.

Some studies have been done on weight loss hypnosis though not many conclusions can be drawn. These studies are plagued by several factors. The first factor is a low sample size, less than one hundred people. A small sample size makes it difficult to form a control group and a test group.

There is still an ongoing debate as to whether hypnosis and hypnotic suggestions speak to the conscious mind, the unconscious mind or both. What is known is that hypnotherapy is used to treat everything from eating disorders, smoking cessation, skin conditions such as psoriasis, and pain reduction as a result of cancer or recovery from surgery or burns.

Another issue with weight loss hypnosis is interpreting the results of any studies that are actually done. There are many different factors that can weigh into successful or unsuccessful attempt at losing weight, which is part of the reason why these are so hard to get clear results on.

With the subject focusing his or her attention to breaking these compulsions it is then concluded that a diet and exercise program is less likely to be sabotaged by poor eating habits. The theory is that after completing the diet and exercise program, as well as a carefully conducted series of therapy sessions, that a patient will be able to maintain their weight loss as part of an overall healthier lifestyle.

While there is still debate as to the effectiveness of hypnotism in various subjects and wide interpretation as to the susceptibility and suggestibility of patients under hypnosis, dieting is still a matter of finding the individual approach that works for losing weight and keeping it off. A balanced diet is key to reaping the most benefits from negative calorie food. Don\’t just eat negative calories alone because you really want to lose weight. Eat other foodstuffs as well and don\’t neglect proteins; carbohydrates and vitamins. Eating a lot of these negative calories doesn\’t exactly mean you will lose weight faster.

Negative calorie foods are good for a person who is trying to lose weight but these foods shouldn\’t be taken in excess. Don\’t forget that your body still needs calories regardless of the fact that they can be harmful if in excess. Take in calorie containing foods so that your body\’s natural metabolism is supported with no neglect.

If you\’re investing in negative calorie food as a means to lose weight I suggest that you exercise as well. There is a common myth that these foods are enough to keep your body in shape. But that\’s not the truth. You will have to exercise often to reap the most benefit from a negative calorie diet.
