Paintball – The Problems With Using CO2 With Your Marker
February 21, 2010 by Gary Garrett

This article will tell you a little about CO2 and the problems that can happen when using it. While it is inferior to compressed air, it is more affordable. Compressed air is much more dependable.
Many paintball players are fine staying with CO2. It works well enough if their gun that they don\’t have a good enough reason to upgrade. For those of you that want to best they can get though, you should consider upgrading.
In the winter months, or in colder temperatures, you can experience several problems while using CO2. Your gun may start to sputter, choke, get freezing cold, or it may freeze up. Your tank may also get so cold that you can\’t touch it.
You probably will experience these problems during periods of rapid shooting. When you are rapidly firing it is usually during a time when it is extremely important that you get lots of paintballs in the air. It is during times like these that you especially don\’t want any problems to arise.
There is both liquid and gas inside of a CO2 tank. It is the gas you want your gun to use, and not the liquid, as it is what causes problems. As you shoot your gun, more of the liquid will turn into gas. When you shoot faster than the liquid can convert to gas, the liquid will enter your gun and cause problems.
You don\’t want liquid to enter your gun because it causes horrible consistency. One shot may travel a normal distance, but when you shoot fast, each shot after it may travel shorter and shorter.
It makes it difficult to keep an opponent in their bunker or hit a person running when each shot your fire doesn\’t travel as far as the one before it. Lacking consistency can cause you to get less eliminations and be a less effective player.
The solution to all your CO2 woes is HPA (or compressed air). It is consistent from shot to shot, and isn\’t affected by cold weather. Velocity during rapid firing is more consistent.

Snowboarders – Keep Getting Better With Mountainboarding

Snowboarding is lots of fun. You get to carve down slopes, shred the snow, and ride the lifts back up again and again. Many snowboarders love winter and look forward to it in the off season.
Many snowboarders during the off season set their board and gear aside for it to collect dust until the snow comes again. They let their skills get rusty as they wait for winter.
To help your skills stay fresh, and not turn moldy during the off season now you can continue to hone your skills after the snow has long been gone. This off season sport for snowboarders is called mountainboarding, and it is an excellent training tool to use when winter has gone.
The sport of mountainboarding is much like skateboarding but instead of only being used on paved surfaces; it can be used on grass, gravel, dirt, and pavement. Small rocks and sticks are no problem for the large, inflatable wheels.
Most mountainboards will have foot straps that are either the kind that you can just step into without having your feet locked in, or they are like snowboard bindings in that they lock your feet in.
No longer will you have to stick it through spring, summer, and fall without hitting the slopes. With this all terrain sport you can continue to ride the hills long after the snow has left. You can keep on having fun in the off season.
If you are a tricks kind of snowboarder, you probably spent winter perfecting a few more tricks. After the off season you probably came back and found that you were a little rusty with your new tricks. To fill that gap and help you stay sharp, mountainboarding offers you a chance to keep on perfecting your tricks, or even learn new ones.
Mountainboarding is an excellent sport for snowboarders that don\’t want to get rusty in the off season. You can use it to practice your tricks, and learn more tricks. You can go off jumps, grind rails, and carve down roads, hills, bomb down trails, and more.
I recommend to snowboarders that want a way that will help them get better during the off season to try out mountianboarding. It is a great way to keep on riding the slopes after the snow has melted.

Often, instead of making use of our free time, many of us sit in front of the T.V., watch a movie, play video games, surf the Internet, or do absolutely nothing. Instead of continuing this tradition, why don\’t you fill in that poorly spent free time with a new recreational activity? This article will tell you why you should ride an off road skateboard (aka mountain board or dirt board) in your free time.
Let\’s face it, the T.V., while it is entertaining to watch, doesn\’t help us get any skinnier. Exercise is what helps, and if you aren\’t getting a healthy amount of exercise in your life, why don\’t you take up a new sport like off road skateboarding? You\’ll get exercise, but you\’ll hardly notice with all the fun you\’ll be having racing down hills, and anticipating your next ride walking back up.
With all the time many of us spend inside at a job or going to classes, having an off road skateboard is a great way to get you outdoors enjoying the nice weather.
Are you lacking thrill in your life? Instead of popping in an action movie or firing up a video game, why not experience it in real life? Going down a hill on an off road skateboard is very thrilling. Seeing the ground zoom by you, and feeling the wind flying by you is a thrilling experience that you can enjoy over and over again.
There are so many places you can go ride that you\’ll never get bored. Anywhere where there is a slope without too many obstacles, you can ride on.
It isn\’t easy to ride one of these. It isn\’t any easier to go off jumps, pull off tricks, or grind on rails. The point is, no mater what, there is always something more challenging to try. It\’s hard to get bored as there is always something bigger, steeper or more difficult to try.
If you are stressed, it is good to have hobbies or recreational activities that you take part in so you don\’t go crazy from being cooped up on work or doing other mundane duties. This sport is a great for relieving stress.
Riding an off road skateboard is good exercise, it lets you enjoy the sunshine, it gets your heart pumping, there are tons of locations to ride at, it never gets boring, and it\’ll make you smile. For anyone that hasn\’t tried it yet, I recommend that you do!

What To Know About Airstoft Guns

When speaking about Airsoft guns we must understand that these where manufactured to place a purpose on recreational habits. Airsoft guns with their spring powered and single shot were established to be used specifically with elastic potential energy or well known as EPE. This product was stored and compressed to spring as air shifts an airsoft pellet thru the barrel of the airsoft device.
Before each shot the user must cock the spring when shooting the spring at impact on every shot. When pulling the pistol or slide this practice is achieved. The bolt or rifles as well as the grip of the gun are done by pulling back. These guns have no capacity of being an automatic gun or semi automatic firearms. Airsoft guns are not as powerful and generally shoot at velocities of 500 FPS or more.
As stated before, Airsoft guns are hard to acquire as they are very expensive. When found, airsoft guns are usually not to last very long as there is tension created at the time of shooting.
Remarkably, airsoft guns are very hard to obtain. They are quite expensive and are hard to find as they don\’t usually are for sale anywhere and last not for too long as the life of the gun as the it creates tension at shooting time.
With this information we also know that airsoft guns are illegal in the United States and are accepted from any foreign country as long as these weapons fit the profile which is the blaze orange (ASTM 875 or brighter tip. This insures that customs has accepted this object.
In an addition to this, when handling airsoft guns there must be a practice to the cock of the pisol\’s spring when you shoot it. Often, these guns are originated from Asia, preferably from Japan. In the 1970\’s it was not a legal practice to own or acquire firearms.
Bringing and creating a replica of their firearm, initiated the airsoft gun which did not shoot powder or fire, but instead it shot rubber.
Within this time, much of the electric firearms use the spring propulsion when airsoft pellet takes place. There are the single shot spring gun which is not the same as it is considered of a different category. Low end spring guns are less expensive than electric powered and are equivalents to the simplicity and the need of more electrical components such as the assembly, the battery charger and the electrical motor as well.
Some exceptions are in place. The hither end spring powered airsoft rifles are most expensive as they are only and typically suited for marksman and their applications. It also provides a competitive muzzle speed.
When cold weather, it is known that spring pistols hold better in reliability than gas powered pistols and hold better as their batteries on AEP\’s known as Automatic electric pistols are affected by the cold climates.

Airsoft Guns As An Enthusiast Activity
February 10, 2010 by Anthony Carter
Airsoft guns as an enthusiast activity can bring many hours of enjoyment, especially when one takes some time to learn a little bit about what these toy replica guns can do for most hobbyists. It\’s a fact that these sorts of replica weapons fire rubber BBs or BBs that are composed of soft plastic at velocities such that a lot of fun can be created without a lot of potential harm.
Usually, airsoft guns are available as extremely detailed replicas of some of the most popular handgun, shotgun or military rifles in the world. Coming in all shapes and sizes, most folks who buy them usually start out with a military version such as the M4 carbine.
These military rifle versions seem to attract enthusiasts interested in airsoft guns in large numbers. The most popular of these weapons sold currently is the Army M4 carbine with the attached grenade launcher, which is a very formidable looking weapon. Most makers of these guns will attach a brightly colored tip to the muzzle for safety reasons.
Airsoft guns can fire off — via means of electric powered pistons — BBs at up to 300 feet per second. This velocity, created in the firing mechanism and that uses air as the propellant for the BB, is sufficient to really send rounds down range and give a role-playing or team on team shoot out excellent realism and excitement.
If deciding that taking up airsoft guns as a hobby is going to be a good idea, it\’s a smart first step, then, to head to the Internet to see what sort of replica weapons will be available and how much they\’ll cost to purchase. Normally, a quality replica of something like the M4 carbine will run from $50 for a purely plastic model up to $300 for one that has lots of accessories and is composed partly of metal.
Usually, when the idea behind owning one of these toy replica guns is to begin engaging in team shoot outs or one-on-one shooter type games, there will be a need to add several different pieces of gear to the kit. This can include using a tactical vest or harness that\’s capable of holding several BB storing magazines and additional battery packs for use in a firefight.
Batteries that are employed for use in airsoft guns are rechargeable and will initially require at least four hours before they can be put into use. After that, keep in mind that it\’s a good idea to fully drain the battery before recharging it in order to ensure the battery doesn\’t create a faulty memory and shut the weapon down during the middle of a firefight.
As a means of firing off hundreds of soft plastic or rubber BBs per minute, airsoft guns do their jobs very well and with a lot of style in addition to looking very formidable, to boot. Such weapons are looked at as being a bit safer than using paintball-style gear and are far safer than what can be engaged in with copper-styled BBs and weapons that fire them.

Should Parents Allow Their Children To Play With Airsoft Guns?
February 9, 2010 by Anthony Carter
A lot of parents strongly disagree with getting their children airsoft guns. However, many parents do not understand that airsoft guns are actually extremely safe for children to play with.
Airsoft guns are deemed as one of the safest guns for people to use. However, despite what many people are saying about the safety of the guns there are still a wide array of people that would love to see the guns banned. Before you make a final stand on how you feel about the guns, it helps to have a knowledge concerning what the guns truly are.
Airsoft guns are realistic looking toy guns that fire pellets at a speed of 25 to 45m. The guns are nothing like the old BB guns that many people consistently compare them to. They will not fire out any windows or cause any ailments as long as you follow the safety precautions that go along with the guns.
The guns have been around for a series of 30 years, so inadvertently they are not as new as many people avidly presume them to be. The guns are designed for a plethora of recreational activities which include paintball, target practice and even war simulation games.
The guns were created in Japan. During the time of their creation firearms in Japan were prohibited, however people still wanted a gun that would serve a recreational purpose. They decide to make a non-lethal pellet that would shoot from the gun instead of a bullet or BB that could cause ailments.
The guns began to grow increasingly in popularity all throughout Japan and later branched off to places in the Philippines as well as in Hong Kong. However, many people did not become attracted to the guns until they reached the USA and the UK.
Presently, there are three different types of airsoft guns available. You can obtain the spring operated gun, the gas operated gun or the battery powered gun. All of the guns serve an initial purpose of providing a recreational as well as safe sport that children can play in.
The guns are not difficult to operate. They launch pellets which will not cause any harm to your children as long as they take heed of the safety precautions that must be followed while operating the guns.
In order to protect your children while they are using the guns you need to assure that you adhere to all of the safety precautions that come along with the guns. You should ensure that your children are wearing a protective mask, along with goggle and a pair of gloves when they are using the airsoft guns.
Parents should not be alarmed to purchase airsoft guns for their children. As long as your children realize that they need to protect themselves while operating the guns they should not have any ailments. Today\’s youth is accustomed to protecting themselves in comparison to prior generations.
You should pay attention to the underlying laws of airsoft gun usage. Making sure that your children are following the proper gun safety protocols will make playing with airsoft guns enjoyable and take a little bit of stress off of you buying a gun for them as well.

Various Types Of Airsoft Guns
February 8, 2010 by Anthony Carter
These are basically manufactured for recreational purposes. It can be operated manually or using compressed gas like green gas, CO2 or propane. These are mainly designed for children above 16 or more. The projectiles from the guns when fired from the gun travel at low speed and are very light. Hence these are not harmful. Some of the guns can be operated only by players who are 18 or more. There are several types of airsoft guns for your preference and there are various features in these guns. Let us find out more about these guns.
The spring powered guns are not the most powerful ones like the electric guns and the gas guns. However there are few models that can fire 500 fps such as shotgun and the sniper guns. The spring gun uses the elastic potential energy which is stored in its spring and with the help of compressed air it would fire. The most important thing is that they must be cocked before shooting.
The automatic electric guns are the next one; they work on the rechargeable batteries. They are mostly used types of air soft guns and the manufacturing of these airsoft guns is done in Japan. The guns have automatic operation making it very popular and most of the users call it AEG (automatic electric guns).
Hybrid guns, these guns are the latest type in the market. They are also a type of AEG but with a bit more of extra reality. They operate on a round per shell basis. In this method for every pellet which is fired the shell casing is ejected, the cap is fired and this produces a realistic sound and a real smoke effect.
The LPEGs or low powered electric air soft guns are very much different from mini electric gun. They are distinguished from the AEG guns by the name LPEG and they are very affordable. This is what makes this gun a better choice.
The medium powered electric guns are very versatile guns but they are the copy of the guns that are manufactured by the big names such as classic army originals and Tokyo Marui. These guns would be fully compatible and are also know as MPEG. The spring guns are manufactured by mini electrics company known as UHC. These guns are very famous and are mostly used for the practicing purpose and they are significantly different from the LPEG.
Automatic Electric Pistols, these guns are popularly known as AEPs and were introduced in the year 2005. They operate using the electric powered system. They are good in cold weather and are better sidearms than the gas powered pistols. AEPs have a fixed slide where there is no external movement of the slide when it operates. Classic guns, these guns are gas powered which is old type of airsoft guns. They can run using the conventional airsoft gas or use an external CO2 tank. They are more than the common AEGs.
You can buy airsoft guns based on the power and range you want and you can check out some good deals over the net. Some times there are discounts are available. There are many sites which have good choices of airsoft guns with the latest models.

Airsoft Guns, Tactical Maneuvers, And War Games
February 7, 2010 by Anthony Carter
If you are into war games then you are most likely going to find the airsoft guns the best bang for your buck, so to speak. Realistic, life like guns that fire small but safe projectiles that reduce the injury rate of BB guns or paintball guns. These are becoming the main staple for war gamers. Unless the gun is fired at very close range, these are the safe version for gaming all over the woods or in the fields.
Using your tactical experience and your ability to put together defensive and offensive plans with your team will come together to determine the outcome of the game. The realism of the gun adds to its accuracy. Once you get a handle on how far your gun will fire you will be able to fire with greater accuracy.
Using airsoft guns to play a safer war game is not the same thing as replacing your paintball gun with an air pump BB gun. In fact, these days you can get a BB gun in the airsoft version for safer and property friendly toy guns. An air pump BB gun can still do quite a bit of damage when fired at car windows, animals, and even people. Airsoft guns are not the upgraded version but a safer way to play.
These are also the most popular. While they are often recommended for target practice, the price is right for all kinds of activities. The spring loaded trigger option has one major drawback for the war games. There is no automatic re-fire. It has to be manually loaded, slowing down reaction and fire time, in between each shot.
Buying the right airsoft guns for your adventures will help determine whether your tactical maneuvers are up to snuff. You won\’t have an exceptional advantage over your opponents just because you buy a fully automatic version without an accompanying large magazine. The very slow reload time on the magazines put you at a disadvantage, especially at night.
Airsoft guns that deliver the long life charge and fire rapidly have their good points, bad points, and points you just get used to. Gas charged guns are temperature sensitive but they are also great for rapid fire. Electrically charged guns have a reasonable battery life and can handle sniper action in the cold.
You can have a lot of fun playing war games and practicing your tactical skills over the weekend, but remember that these guns look like replicas of the real version. Simply using some common sense will keep all of us out in the woods keeping the war games alive and well. Those who ignore common sense courtesies as well as laws risk the fun for all of us.
Pay attention to the laws that apply to these guns once you buy one. You would be surprised how many people are trying to get these airsoft guns banned, despite the fact that they are safer than a standard BB gun. Never whip it out in public. These are realistic enough that you do not want to face the consequences of public brandishing. Make sure you follow visibility laws, which include a measured strip of orange pain all the way around the barrel.
