Oftentimes you ask yourself, “Why are these all happening to me?” especially when you are bombarded with failures and regrets. You get caught up in a situation of blaming persons but most of the time blaming yourself. Many get depressed where few have come to a suicidal point. A feeling of too much downfall can kill us. It can lose your sense of control until you get lost in the world.

Clearly no one wants to experience any of these. These things which you can consider as the danger zones in life that you need to get rid of. And to stay away from these danger zones, every individual has to be informed and familiar with the essential things that will bring us to thinking positively and improving self esteem.

Acceptance is the Key

To restrain from feeling down or feeling depressed and to keep control of yourself even at the most painful incidence, you need to embrace a total acceptance in life. Like what the psychological lecturer from Harvard University, Professor Tal Ben-Shahar said, “The first thing to do to become happier, paradoxically, is to accept painful emotions, to accept them as a part of being alive.”

Downfall moments, failures or mistakes you have encountered are all part and parcel of life. He added that there are only two people who don’t feel any of these negative feelings at all and those are the psychopaths and the dead. So you should be lucky enough to have all these because it means that you are very much alive and of course, you are not psychopaths after all.

To trigger the positive emotions and good opportunities to come closer to you, accepting life is the key. Thinking positively and establishing happier surroundings can be put to reality by producing more endorphins which are outcomes of being happy. To be brave enough and be more determined to stand up against depression, a strong foundation of positivity has to be built which can result from a total acceptance in life. Starting from that point, you will already be considering each mistake as a challenge and never think of it as something that can end our life. You simply increase self confidence at facing any tough experience you get involved with in life.

Spend Quality Time

Also an effective way of avoiding the known danger zones of stress, depression and anxiety is to spend quality time with your loved ones like your families and friends. If you have already found your partner in life, spending time with them is also a part of spending quality time.

Take time to rest from the stressful environment of work at least a day a week. You can have a family bonding inside the house or go picnic outside, hang out with friends and have a romantic time being with your partner in a relaxing place. The outcome as you do this is you gain a positive mind and you release more happy hormones making you feel light and calm.

Exercising this once a week or even just twice a month, you will be gathering more encouraging thoughts and emotions. You will be stronger with your emotions and you tend to increase self confidence. This will also result to a more optimistic life. One day you will wake up having a lot of opportunities knocking at your door.

Health is a Treasure

If you are building up a healthy emotion, you also need to construct a healthy body. You can have a healthy body by taking a walk or exercising for about 20-40 minutes a day or even three times a week where you are as well improving self esteem.

Valuing you more while having that healthy body can eradicate negative feelings of being sad, stressed, worried or depressed. You will finally understand why you need to undergo through all those experiences. Until such time that you realize everything happens for a good reason and that is to make you a better person.
