Fat Burning Foods: Burn Fat Without Effort
I love to eat but I hate to gain weight! The trick is to not only avoid high fat foods but to choose foods that actually burn fat. Here are some foods I include in my diet that burn fat while I\’m just sitting still!
PROTEIN Eating protein increases your metabolic rate. When you eat fat, your body uses about 5% of the fat calories to digest it. But your body uses 20% – 30% of protein calories to burn protein! I include some lean protein in every meal. But don\’t include too much protein or you could harm your kidneys.
GREEN TEA A cup of green tea is so relaxing! There is a chemical in green tea that speeds up your metabolism, burning more calories, without speeding up your heart rate. And remember, without milk or sugar, green tea has no calories!
MILK The calcium in milk and other dairy products boosts your metabolism leading to more fat burning. Because milk contains not only calcium but also carbohydrates and protein, it is a perfect between-meal snack to fill you up and cause your body to burn calories more quickly.
CAFFEINE Caffeine has developed a bad reputation for putting stress on your heart and kidneys, but only if you use too much. The people I know who drink nothing but sodas and coffee all day are not fit, healthy people! Try drinking 2 or 3 cups of coffee throughout the day and your metabolism will keep running along. Just remember not to use too much sugar, flavoring, or cream.
PEPPERS By eating peppers, you increase your metabolism by speeding up your heart rate. Eating peppers can increase your fat burning rate for several hours!
I love the fact that I can simply eat these foods and keep burning extra calories after meals and snacks!
