If you want to stay fit then cardio is the answer but the problem is it is excruciating for most people. Many of us have a treadmill at home but not all us are fond of using it. If you are one of those people who treat your treadmill or any exercise machines at home as an ornament, then better find a way on how you can make cardio enjoyable for you.
Any motion that elevates the heart rate that reaches a fat burning level can be considered as cardio. The following are some helpful ways on how to make your workout schedule pleasurable.
Walking – Humans are meant to walk since prehistoric times. During the Stone Age, men did all of the hunting using their bare feet. So if you are walking for about 45 minutes a day then you are doing yourself a favor.
If you want to live a bit longer in this world, then be in motion, ditch that couch and go out for a walk. Our body wasn’t made for stagnation. It is a long proven fact that walking does lengthen our lives. And I’m not just saying that because many studies have been made to back up this statement.
In walking, your rate of movement is not much of an importance. What is important is that you keep your body in action. Brisk walking will give you higher heart rate which can burn fat. On the other hand, walking at a regular pace isn’t so bad at all. You can still get plenty of benefits as it maintains your body from producing motion.
HIIT – Spending hours doing some boring and ordinary exercise routine could deter you from having a healthy lifestyle. That is why someone created the High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT. What it does is that it gives you that healthy physique in a short period of time. How short? Well let’s say, 20 minutes or less in a day. Sounds great isn’t it?
Some might think exercising for 20 minutes could be straining since you will need to give a hundred percent of your energy in such short period of time. Well actually, no. The level of your effort will alternate from highest to moderate base on the workout you’re doing.
If you’re burned out or drained with long hours of cardio training, then you can get the same effect of working out for hours in just half. And there are studies conducted too to support this. So better choose the one that will give you both result and comfort in less time.
