Fat Loss! Stop and Think for a Second.

It is a known fact that 3500 calories is a pound of body weight and to lose one pound, you must reduce your intake of calories by 3,500. Given that information, if you want to lose five pounds in one week, you must reduce your calories by 17,500!
We are all aware that an average diet is about 2000 calories per day. That’s only 14 thousand calories per week. That’s average! That’s what keeps you healthy. If you are going to diet off five pounds which is seventeen thousand five hundred calories, you have to burn 3500 more calories than you eat for the entire week, or go totally without food PLUS burn 3500 calories in one week. That just won’t work. You can’t lose five pounds in one week by dieting. You have to have some food to stay alive.
So if you eliminate food, you’re in for a rough ride. Your body has this involuntary reaction which we refer to as hibernation, in bears. As good a name as any in people, but we usually call it metabolism. When the food stops coming in, your metabolism picks up on it and starts burning protein, which is your lean muscle. It’s 75% water, and is your first line of weight loss. You lose your water. You ever see body builders with their protein drinks and protein bars and protein powder? Lots of muscle there, isn’t there? But the next thing that your metabolism does is worse. It starts to burn carbohydrates, which means that your fat increases. You start to put more weight on!
Since you can’t diet off the weight then it stands to reason that you have to work on increasing your burn rate. Normally a diet gets you to take in fewer calories and what you burn slowly reduces your size. Actually, you are just losing water, and because 75% of your lean muscle protein is water, pretty soon you start to gain again. You are in hibernation. Your body has made a choice. Give up the protein, live off the carbs, and store as much fat as possible. Any food you take in is converted immediately to fat to help you through this period of starvation. Remember, a bear can sleep though an entire winter without eating.
One thing is for sure: Body Builders are mostly protein, and very little fat. They don’t eat a lot of Big Macs and Whoppers. They have a totally different diet with protein drinks and bars and shakes. They couple that with some simple exercises, and they control their metabolisms. If you like that sort of look, they are usually pretty hot, yet they eat like there won’t be food tomorrow. You have to control the burn rate, not the caloric intake.
By now you must understand that you can’t just diet and make fat go away, so you have to make a choice, a complete lifestyle choice. You want to lose weight? Start with a little exercise to get your metabolism kicked up. THEN start your diet. After that you increase your exercise. By starting after you have increased your metabolism, the whole thing will be more effective, and the pounds will come off faster and more easily. The lifestyle change is more likely to be permanent.
Understand that you put your weight on because you don’t burn everything that you eat. You store some of it, and over time, that weight builds up. Problem is, storage is driven by what you eat and that consumption is mostly about water. Protein is 75% water. When you go on a diet, after you clear out the water you burn protein from your storehouse.
You can’t just diet fat off because your body will give away all of it’s protein to protect itself, so you start to live on carbohydrates- and gain weight. When you lower your food intake, you lose protein, and this loss lowers your burn rate.

Weight Loss Programs Reviewed

Are you ready to go on a diet? Or maybe a little past that time? If this isn\’t your first diet, you\’re going to need an ACTION PLAN. The key words are Action and Plan. I once read:
Action without planning is futile. Planning without action is worthless.
You know this true when it comes to weight loss. Every diet business will give you a plan. They will make you take action. The will be weigh-ins, charts and/or logins. Many will have meetings. A few have buddy systems. There is always Action and Plan, Plan and Action.
No matter which plan you choose, Follow the plan. Lose the weight. Become beautiful. Wear thin people clothes. Go on television as the person that lost all that weight. Be loved by millions. Get a sports car. Be admired. Be interviewed. Write a book. Let the exciting person inside of you out. Or, do nothing, change nothing, and remain as you are.
We\’ve just finished reading online reviews of about thirty weight loss plans, everything from NutriSystems and Weight Watchers to Fatloss4idiots to Jarrod\’s Subway diet. They discussed health, calories, protein, diet pills, weight gain, carbs, grapefruit, and just about everything else that\’s involved in being healthy. They reviewed how to lose weight with exercise, diet foods, and all forms of diet plans. You can get hypnosis. You can get diet pills. All of them have one objective- to help you if you really want to lose weight. We were looking for the right plan for me. Some of the weight loss programs I considered are very good, some, not so much. One review really caught my eye. It was a testimonial on a major website from a woman that simply blew me away. She was asked about her current low calorie diet. Maybe she didn\’t mean it as a testimonial, but here it is. You decide. \”Whenever I find that weight isn\’t falling off of me based on reduced calories (Plan A), I just go back to Plan B. I dropped just about 4 lbs by day 4. I\’m always amazed at how this diet works for me.\” – K. Jones (via email) I can see where someone might could call that a testimonial. Would you? Testimonials are there to convince you that you can do it. You already know you can lose the weight, keeping it off is the problem. The testimonials are just there to reinforce your own opinion. Heck, you could even become a spokesperson for the plan of your choice. You could be doing the testimonial! Look at all of them you see on TV. Any one of them COULD BE YOU! They want you to succeed and show others. You are worthy, so do it!
Remember this: If you agree to do something and don\’t do it, it is no different than if you had not agreed to it in the first place. It doesn\’t matter what it is, its no different than not agreeing in the first place.
We have done a lot of homework on this subject because it matters. We have written many reviews of many products, including several times about this lady\’s particular plan. The question becomes, \”Why is it just a backup plan?\” Well, there are a couple of reasons, but mostly, she isn\’t where she wants to be and she isn\’t sticking to her plan to get there. She agreed to Plan A, but isn\’t doing it. She isn\’t sticking to her own plan to lose weight so she thinks that by adding a second plan to the works that everything will be okay. She may as well not have gone on Plan A in the first place. Besides, mixing two different diet plans is not going to get her where she feels she has to be. It will probably cost her her health in the long run.
Sorry! If you don\’t make a decision on what you want, set some goals, create a plan, and work at it, you won\’t lose much weight, and if you lose the weight without exercise, you won\’t tone up at all. I know the exercise is hard, but better to have hard exercise than hard arteries.
The rest? It\’s pretty simple, really. Like I said at the outset: Set up a plan. Follow the plan. Lose the weight. Become beautiful. Wear thin people clothes. Go on television as the person that lost all that weight. Be loved by millions. Get a sports car. Be admired. Be interviewed. Write a book. Let the exciting person inside of you out.
That\’s my opinion. It\’s really very simple. Make a choice and take the action that goes with it. It is working for me, and it will work for you.
Do it now! It\’s time for you to lose weight.Weight loss and get the program. Remember, it\’s all about you! Do this because YOU deserve it. Don\’t reprint this exact article. Instead, reprint a free unique content version of this same article.
The Holidays are Coming – There Goes The Diet!

We see Thanksgiving and Christmas as the most glorious festive food days of the year. Lordie, don\’t you just love that dressing! And pie! Whipped Cream! Oh, YEAH! One more little helping won\’t hurt your diet! But it will. That one more little helping is between you and your maker, sure, but do you want to see him that much sooner? Do you want to go with or without the extra gravy?
You can do anything you want. I know, we have all winter to be back on the diet so we can wear the new spring fashions. Yeah. Has that ever happened? I want you to feel good about yourself, so please think for one minute on the reason for your diet. You want to look good. You want to feel good. You want to meet someone, or go somewhere. You want a different life style. It seems like every week there is some kind of a TV show talking about the supersizing of America. A few years ago they said the average American was 10 pounds overweight. Now they talk about 35 % of the population is obese. Obese. Let me get back to the Thanksgiving and Christmas example. If you are on a diet, then you are on a diet. Don\’t be that silly person that says you can go off for today, or tomorrow and back on the next day. Don\’t be that silly person that says that it won\’t matter because the diet doesn\’t work anyway. That\’s why they don\’t work!!! Your diet has to become your lifestyle. Look on the TV. You see the people that actually lost weight and changed their lives.
Life style. Two simple words, but when put together, they mean a whole lot more. First, if you\’re overweight and don\’t change the way you eat, life may be good, but it will be short. If you don\’t mind the jokes and snickers, if you don\’t mind the rudeness we get when we are overweight, then it\’s cool, stay that way. Did you know that every ten pounds of weight you carry increases pressure on your knees by forty pounds? But that\’s okay, because it\’s your body. If you find the craving for food to be too much, then eat. Taste, savor, enjoy. Just don\’t consume. A couple weeks ago I handed a really exquisite chocolate to a lady that has gone from 280 down to 140. She bit off half of it, delighted in the flavor, cherished the taste, and discarded the rest. She has changed her life from the person that would just eat and eat and eat to the person that tastes and cherishes the flavor, but doesn\’t CONSUME.
Taht is life, and style is clothes that don\’t have an X in the size. Well, if that\’s what you want, if you\’re tired of wearing potato sacks, then stay away from the potatoes. Completely. Just do it. Style is driving a sports car, not a big,\”comfortable\” sedan. A big sedan is comfortable? C\’mon! Everybody knows you need the room to get in and out. That\’s not style. You diet for your own reasons, but you need to stick to it. Everyday. Your lifestyle has to be the person you want to be, not who you\’ve stuck yourself with. Lifestyle is when thin people invite you for dinner and there won\’t be an extra turkey because \”We cook extra because we like leftovers.\” Lifestyle is active and fun. Be that!
The problem is, lifestyle is a total concept. The Thanksgiving dinner? Isn\’t it about friends and family and giving thanks for each other? Sure, there is food, but would your friends and family rather see you there next year or eat into oblivion this year? My friend that lost 140 pounds didn\’t just skip a meal now and then. She changed her life. She has a new lifestyle. She eats right, exercises a little, and is a thin person. She no longer binges on food. She takes the holidays for social gatherings and warmth and camaraderie, not as an opportunity to eat until she can\’t stand up, or drink until she can\’t walk.
Losing the weight has to be your choice, but what a great choice it is. Set goals and grow into those goals, not the next dress size. Become a hero to yourself.

I fought with weight loss for years. Listen, I know where you\’re coming from, or you wouldn\’t be here. I felt the embarrassment and humiliation. I have been the joke. I have cried. I know the pain when you look at thin people and envy them just for being thin, while you suffer. They don\’t even know. You shop in the \’Women\’s\” section but don\’t get to wear the most stylish clothes. You have trouble getting in or out of cars. You get \”that look\” when you walk into a restaurant. You get jostled in every aisle.
Your answer is here! You know what you need. You need a solution. You need to get out of the rut, and get away from the yo-yo. You\’ll know it when you find it. You look and look and look. You try, but it doesn\’t work. It\’s so hard. There has to be an easy diet. It seems like no diet, low fat, low carb or whatever food management system is going to save you. But you have hope. We have to have hope. You\’ll try again.
I tried counting calories, and I tried weighting my portions. I tried to keep track of my points. I increased my MUFAs. I took Hoodia pills and gained weight. There are so many diets out there. Grapefruit is good. I like it. I also like a chocolate milkshake and a Frosty, but they don\’t go very well with Atkins or Nutrisystems or Jenny or Weight Watchers or Jarrod or South Beach or whoever. But I like them. Can you believe this guy ate two subs a day and lost 300 pounds?
So yes, I have felt your pain. I have been the joke. I have been humiliated more times than I can count. AND I HATED IT! I made the commitment to myself to put an end to it. I have faced and solved the very same problem that you are having!!! After, I don\’t know, hundreds of diets, I found about a fast weight loss program that I have been able to work with….. Finally!! This is it, the solution!! This is the diet plan for me. Now it is time for you to do the same. You must find the right diet or program for you. I\’m on the plan and I\’m not crying, not embarrassed. You can have it, too! Do you like the idea of losing that kind of weight? What are you waiting for?
Find the one that you need. Find the diet that you have been looking for. Find real weight control. Do it now! You know what you have to lose, think what you can gain. It is time to take action…..
Or do nothing, change nothing, and remain as you are. It\’s really very simple. Make a choice and take the action that goes with it. Remember this: If you agree to do something, but don\’t do it, it\’s the same as though you didn\’t agree in the first place. If you want to lose weight, lose it. Or settle for less.
