Day 9: Waiting For My HCG Diet Kit
October 28, 2010 by Clint Westfall

You haven’t forgotten Lisa, have you? She is the buddy that I bullied into sticking to the HCG diet alongside me. We are still sitting around waiting for our HCG Diet kits so with all our extra time we have been studying up on the HCG diet protocol. In our studying we have discovered a couple items to stress about.
There are tons of different postings regarding the matter, but the problem is that many of them contradict each other. Lisa and I have agreed to disagree when it comes to the protocol until we actually get our HCG diet protocol in the mail along with our products in the HCG diet kit.
But I cannot help but whip through some of the available information online and take note of a couple of the items that are jumping out at me as troublesome issues: berries, substitutions, ground meat, diet pop and Crystal Light.
I will begin by whining about the possible lack of Diet Pop and Crystal Light. REALLY? Seriously no diet pop or Crystal Light? That’s what I read, anyway. A few of the online hot spots I read back in the day pointed to their “twice daily diet pop” and their constant consumption of Crystal Light as their salvation while they stayed away from sugar and ate very limited fruit. And I totally saw how that would be me.
I mean, if I can’t have a giant sugar cookie slathered in cream cheese frosting…I better have my hands wrapped around a diet soda or SOMETHING! But I’m going to put a pin in that and revisit it when the actual protocol confirms my suspicions.
I’m also dreading the fact that ALL berries aren’t approved. All those yummy berries out there seem so fantastic and healthy yet it seems that only strawberries are approved on the diet. At least that’s what I’m getting from the majority of the blogs, etc. that I’m running across.
I also read about ground meat. Apparently it’s a definite “no-no.” That makes sense so I bet it’s right. I’m just going to have a difficult time telling my little brother the next time he hosts one of his frequent grilling nights for the fam. He’s a hunter and he’s so proud of the fact that the ground meat he uses for his burgers actually comes from his own hard work! He’s got a freezer full of ground meat of all sorts and it’s always very good. I guess I will have to bring my own tiny steak or something. And he’ll just have to accept my apologies for purchasing my own meat.
The only other thing that really stands out as problematic is the issue with substitutions. Basically…there don’t seem to be any. I figured that you could “save” items to eat later. Like a fruit for late afternoon or even evening. Or your Melba toasts for the middle of the night if you had to stay up to work late, etc.
But there are bloggers and facebookers out there who are discussing the fact that you cannot do that. Or that you are not supposed to do that. Sigh. Well, I guess I’ll just have to get over it for now. I might as well because I don’t even know which parts of my fears are true and which are just rumor. I’ll be able to see for sure as soon as the HCG diet kit arrives since there’s a protocol booklet included with the products. And then I’ll know!

HCG Diet Phase 2: The Essential And Vital Maintenance Phase
October 5, 2010 by Clint Westfall
The HCG diet is loved by many. Those who have already completed a HCG diet plan are often very clear on the program protocol. They are strict, but they are not misleading. Because there are so few requirements and so few approved foods it is not easy for the dieters to get confused.
But even those who have already completed the plan are sometimes utterly not aware of a vital aspect of the diet: HCG diet phase 2. It is the maintenance period. The maintenance period is vital. It is not just one option that some people include because they are too ambitious. The HCG diet phase 2 is necessary in order for the body to keep the weight off that has been lost during the program.
During HCG diet phase 2 or maintenance phase the body adjusts. Dieters are allowed 1500 calories instead of the previous limitation of 500. More foods are added to the approved list but dieters must still pick and choose between all the foods available to them.
When dieters undertake the maintenance phase (HCG diet phase 2) accurately they will stick to the food limits in addition to the caloric limits. They also Hto stick to it for the requisite amount of time. The amount of time spent on maintenance should equal the amount of time spent on the diet.
So if a dieter stuck to the HCG diet for the fifteen day period then they need to complete a fifteen day maintenance period. But if they stuck to the HCG diet for forty days they need to stick to the maintenance period for forty days. It is simple just like the remainder of the diet, but for some reason many simply ignore the need for this part of the diet.
Individuals who avoid HCG diet phase 2 find that they have a much harder time maintaining their weight loss after the diet is finished. This is a scandal considering the fact that HCG diets provide a drastic and rapid weight loss potential for most dieters. Dieters who are able to stick to the protocol introduced in the basic protocol will typically see weight loss close to the average of 1 to 2 pounds each day.
There aren’t many things more annoying than meeting this wonderful weight loss average just to see the weight return when the maintenance phase is skipped. The maintenance phase is typically not nearly as difficult for a lot of dieters as the literal diet when they were limited to 500 calories per day. Some suggest that they struggle changing to the increased foods while still keeping in mind that there is a limit. They want to let loose and eat whatever they want as soon as they add more calories. For these people there is a HCG diet maintenance e-cookbook that will aid them in sticking to the program protocol throughout the HCG diet phase 2.

HCG Injections Side Effects Aren’t Common
September 1, 2010 by Clint Westfall
When looking at a new treatment there’s generally the worry that there could be unknown side effects. And this is a relevant line of thought; these aren’t the crazy worriers that are taking things too far and ruining it for the rest of us. No pill, injection, or any form of medical therapy is taken off the shelves until “one day” when a side effect or the side effects are suddenly obvious, and unavoidable.
So when someone says that they don’t want to try a method or process or treatment or pill until it’s been in use for a while…they’re not crazy. That’s actually a good idea. And if it makes someone feel better or more safe about a medical treatment then that’s all well and good. They should do it. It also means that this particular individual will never be the beneficiary of cutting edge methods and processes dependent upon recent technological advances, etc.
The irony of this philosophy is that many who dedicate themselves to it vehemently throughout their lives suddenly find themselves rededicating themselves to the effectiveness of treatments rather than the length of time they have been in use when they find themselves afflicted with a condition that isn’t responding to conventional treatment. There’s always some new treatment. Consider weight loss…there’s always a new program or product or philosophy out there to consider.
But what a lot of people aren’t aware of is that HCG dieting is nowhere near new. Most believe it is a new process due to the fact that no one heard anything about it until a few years ago. But it was not developed a few years ago. The process has been around for over 50 years. And it’s been in use. It was developed by Dr. Simeons. He’s an endocrinologist. His weight loss program based on the use of HCG as a weight loss tool was very quickly nicknamed the Cure for Obesity. It’s been providing drastic, fast weight loss for rich people in exclusive locations for over 50 years.
So even those who refuse to try the cutting edge treatments for the sole reason that they are “cutting edge” don’t have an argument when it comes to refusing to take advantage of the drastic weight loss measures available through HCG dieting. Fearing eventual side effects becomes silly at some point and that point is nowhere near as long as 50 years. If there were drastic side effects of HCG dieting…they would be known after 50 years in use. After 50 years everything has been brought out in the open the potential HCG injections side effects, the no known side effects of homeopathic HCG weight loss formula, the average weight loss results, etc.
And the results are pretty great. The average daily weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds. And dieters who lose weight tend to keep it off. HCG dieters have higher weight loss maintenance success rates than other programs in the industry. This could be due to new habits learned while dieting (health eating and cooking) or it could be due to the reprogramming of the body to handle fat more effectively (it learns to absorb the empty fat cells rather than leave them laying around).
The results are obvious. But the side effects aren’t obvious. But that’s probably because it’s obvious that there are no known HCG injections side effects. HCG is a natural element in the human body (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin). It’s a hormone. Some professionals in the industry suggest that decreased levels of HCG are due to the widespread acceptance of an unhealthy lifestyle. Due to our bad behavior we require an outside source of HCG, one of our body’s natural hormones.
Potential HCG injections side effects are rare. Throughout the history of HCG use for weight loss most of the HCG injections side effects are related directly to the injections themselves. They are typically minimally problematic side effects/reactions that are common for any injection. Some people just don’t react well to needles. While negative reactions are quite rare when injections are administered by a professional, they can still occur.
But that doesn’t mean that they can’t take advantage of the drastic weight loss possible through the use of HCG dieting. They can take advantage of homeopathic HCG weight loss formulas that offer the same daily weight loss averages as injections. It’s also cheaper and people don’t have to put up with regular injections. Instead of injections dieters stick to regular use of oral drops placed under the tongue. So quit ignoring the weight loss possibilities right in front of you. If you’re ignoring the weight loss possibilities because you’re nervous about it being a “new” method then you need to take a deep breath and re-evaluate. This isn’t an untried method. It’s actually a proven weight loss technique. And there you are denying yourself the advantages it offers. That’s a shame.

Human Growth Hormone

It is often referred to as the key hormone because it secretes Human Growth Hormone (HGH), which is responsible for controlling so many of the body’s vital functions. HGH is produced naturally in a small gland in the brain called the pituitary. Although the gland is small, the important of the HGH it produces is big. Of all the important functions of HGH, one of the principal functions of the hormone is the stimulation of tissue growth. Of course, this is most important to us during the growth and developmental years of our youth.
Not long ago the New England Journal of Medicine issued a report on the research of Dr. Daniel Rudman, who did a very interesting study on the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) and how it affects one specific sign of aging: weight. He took a group of men ranging in age from their 60s to around 80 and gave them HGH treatments. They made no specific changes in their exercising, smoking, and eating habits, yet they lost an average of 14-percent of their body fat. They also gained almost 9-percent lean muscle on average. The other desirable effects of the HGH manifested in the study were firmer skin, increased bone density and an obvious reversal of aging. Although HGH is vital to our early growth and development, as shown by Dr. Rudman’s studies, it remains vitally important as an anti-aging agent.
Human Growth Hormone (HGH), the incredibly important hormone that controls growth, energy, vitality, and much more in our youth, regrettably diminishes in level as we age. But, because we now know that this cell-generating hormone remains vital to us at all stages of life, a way to replace HGH is readily available to all of us. Even in maturity, we can restore the vitality we enjoyed in our youth.
Up until the age of 30, human growth hormone (HGH) has been directly responsible for stimulating cell replacement, tissue repair, and brain and enzyme function. This master hormone stimulates the growth of cells, muscles, bones and organs in our youth and adolescence. But, the diminishing level of HGH in our bodies that naturally comes with age begins to swindle us out of the vitality of youth.
Of all the issues of aging, a very obvious one is weight gain. Studies show that after fifty years of age, we replace ten pounds of muscle with 10 pounds of fat. Much of this is caused by the decreased level of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in our bodies. This important hormone that stimulated our metabolisms to burn calories at a higher rate in our youth, becomes absent in our later years resulting in a lower metabolic rate that leads to a litany of problems like weight gain, hypertension and all the problems related to that, fatigue, and many more.
Succinctly put, Human Growth Hormone (HGH), while vital in our youth, is equally important to our health and vitality in our adult years. Although its level decreases as we age, HGH can be replaced.
At one time, the standard way to replace the vital Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in our mature years was done by injection. This was not only a time-consuming and costly method, it also required medical supervision and a prescription. Now, there is a less costly, non-prescription, non-invasive way of HGH replacement therapy, the oral consumption of a homeopathic HGH solution.
The benefits of an increased level of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) in our adult body are many: a higher metabolism (weight control), a better memory, improved elasticity in the skin, more energy and greater stamina, stronger bones, increased sexual prowess and stronger libido, greater muscle mass, a stronger immune system, and many others.
Lisa Smithers struggled throughout her college career with HGH imbalances. After finding Growth Hormones Direct she was eventually able to succeed in obtaining her college degree.

Getting To Know Laser Liposuction?
July 23, 2010 by Clint Westfall

Are you trying to figure out if you should have traditional liposuction or laser liposuction? Feel free to do your research, but the answer is obvious. If you are the type of individual who really dislikes wasting your time then take the advice of individuals who know. Laser liposuction is definitely more advantageous. It is less invasive (therefore requiring less recovery time) and more effective.
The benefits of laser liposuction (SlimLipo) is due to the recent advancements in laser technology. The introduction of the latest lasers allowed the procedure to evolve quickly into a safer, more efficient procedure. It is highly targeted. Due to the extensive benefits more consumers are considering the procedure than ever before. SlimLipo laser liposuction melts fat away rather than cutting it away like traditional liposuction.
Benefits of SlimLipo:
1. Decreased body trauma (melting the fat is less traumatic than tearing or cutting the fat out)
2. Higher rates of fat removal: The laser technology is highly targeted making the results of laser liposuction more efficient (offering better results) than traditional lipo.
3. Skin tightening as a result of dermal heating: with traditional lipo patients often need to incorporate a skin tightening procedure after the fact. With laser liposuction skin tightening as a separate procedure is required far less often.
4. Local anesthesia results in less chance for complications
5. Lower rates of bruising
6. Decreased discomfort
7. Decreased recovery time (due to the far less invasive nature of the procedure)
What is the actual SlimLipo process? SlimLipo is a laser liposuction. It uses a laser with dual wavelength technology. The first wavelength melts fat and the second tightens skin in the surrounding area. It is currently recognized as the most efficient and effective liposuction method available.
The lasers used for laser liposuction can be targeted to extremely specific areas. This makes it possible for the procedure to be targeted at smaller, more difficult to reach areas that were often ignored when it came to traditional liposuction: ankles, chin, etc. Larger areas are also popular target areas for laser liposuction: buttocks, legs, thighs, arms, etc.
Laser liposuction is advantageous. Individuals considering lipo should access the latest lipo procedures through reputable cosmetic centers. This will ensure that they have access to a professional that can answer questions about the procedure, the preparatory methods, the equipment used for the procedure, etc.
Sarah Gilbert writes for the Biocosmetic Center for clients in Gilbert, Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona. The Biocosmetic Center offers safe and effective liposuction, SlimLipo, dermal fillers, laser facials, laser hair removal, laser scar removal, and more.
Revealing Obvious Weight Loss Statistics

Weight loss is a major concern. It’s no longer considered a concern on a case by case or individual basis. It is now a societal problem. The issue is bigger than any one individual or family or country. The obesity epidemic is sweeping the globe. And it is doing irreparable damage. New information presented by the Society for the Study of Ingested Behavior (SSIB) offers a bit of new insight into the issue.
Weight loss and depression have often been considered linked. The SSIB suggests that their recent study makes this connection clear. In the past experts considered it probable that symptoms of depression would likely increase with dieting efforts. This is not the case according to the study conducted by SSIB.
The society conducted a study over the course of 6 months. Participants (both depressed and non-depressed) were asked to undertake a supervised weight loss program. The weight loss program consisted of lifestyle changes as well as dietary changes. After 6 months on the diet participants from both depressed and non-depressed study groups lost weight. (Non-depressed individuals had a slightly higher weight loss average).
Additional benefits to depressed individuals as a result of weight loss included:
1. They experienced noticeable mood improvement.
2. Triglyceride reduction. Triglycerides are a common risk factor for both heart attack and stroke. This reduction is a major health benefit.
This indicates that the relationship between depression and weight loss is positive. Experts will continue to study the connection to further specify the benefits. Further study is also underway to consider the possible benefits of weight loss to those suffering from a variety of psychiatric disorders.
Weight loss experts don’t all agree. But they do all agree that obesity is a major risk factor for many health concerns, common illnesses and diseases. Weight loss is a positive option for many in today’s society. Society as a whole benefits from appropriate weight loss. Consumers should consider all the options prior to deciding upon their weight loss method of choice: prescription, homeopathic, surgical…the least side effects with the highest weight loss averages are the most solid choices.

The Homeopathic HCG Diet Allows Indulgence

While on the homeopathic HCG diet dieters have to learn quickly how to abstain from food. They have to limit themselves to very small portion sizes. And they have to learn to live without their favorite foods.
So what can you do to make it enjoyable? You can’t take a free day. You can’t give yourself free foods that are off plan. You can’t do any of these things because they will negate the hard work spent sticking to the plan to try to lose weight. But you can try to find something you love to eat and attempt to find a HCG approved recipe version. Do you think that’s impossible? Are you sure? Here are a few examples…
Do you have a favorite type of food? Do you lean towards Italian? No pasta allowed…sorry, but there is a great marinara sauce. Do you lean towards Mexican? You won’t find any fabulous refried bean, burrito, crispy taco or tostada recipes, but you will find one of the most classic Mexican food appetizers of all…chips and salsa.
HCG approved chips and salsa:
1. Make your Pico de Gallo by dicing your fresh tomatoes, onions and cilantro. Fresh cilantro is vital.
2. Use one of your starch servings (Melba Toast) in place of the traditional chips. Don’t assume you won’t like it. Give it a try first.
The only thing that you can’t get around is the portion size. You are still limited to the small amount you can work into one vegetable and one starch serving. But we should probably not be indulging in never ending chips and salsa at any time during our lives so we can at least avoid any “never ending” portion sizes while on the homeopathic HCG diet, right? Don’t assume you can’t have anything you like while on the very low calorie diet. Look around and find things that you like and try the recipes. Many of them will surprise you…and probably make it into your cookbook permanently.

The Difficulties of Homeopathic HCG: Location?
March 7, 2010 by Clint Westfall
The homeopathic HCG diet is a very low calorie diet. That, in itself, means that it’s going to be tough. In combination with that dieters are required to ingest oral drops three times a day with no food or drink for 15 minutes before or after they take the drops. And on top of that…the list of foods you are actually allowed to use to create your total of 500 calories per day is very limited. AND you have to have a certain amount of each type of food each day.
That’s a lot of requiring and demanding for one little diet. So why do so many people turn to homeopathic HCG to lose weight? And why do so many people succeed on this very tough diet?
The success stories are nearly countless. And they’re not limited to little successes. Some of these homeopathic HCG success stories can be described as no less than astronomical. Dieters see weight start to come off immediately (within the first week). The steady weight loss alone tends to be enough inspiration to keep most dieters from veering off the diet’s protocol.
But no one can deny that the diet is tough and has really, really difficult moments. Some dieters have made note that they tend to have difficult moments in certain locations.
1. At home. Sometimes dieters find that they have the hardest time in their own environments. This isn’t that surprising considering that most of us do a majority of our eating in our own homes. And most of us have developed a large number of our bad eating habits in our own home. Our own homes (and our own pantries) typically carry the most tempting food items when we are attempting to diet. Fix it by getting rid of items that you can’t have. Your family can eat healthy for a month or two.
2. Work. Some dieters find that they have the hardest time at work. Oddly enough the most complaints have come from individuals who work in call centers. They find that they have a really hard time breaking bad habits that are embraced office wide. When on the homeopathic HCG diet there is no freebie stacking. It’s just a new habit that will have to be formed.
3. At parties and other social events. It’s obvious why the party or social event would be difficult while on a very strict diet. You don’t know what food is going to be served. So it is very hard to make any successful eating plans. The easiest way to avoid problems in this circumstance is to eat before you go and then stick to water.
Regardless of which times or locations are the toughest during the homeopathic HCG diet…it’s worth it in the end. Dieters see consistent weight loss and the lost pounds quickly add to decreased clothing sizes. With this sort of motivation it is no longer that surprising that a majority of HCG dieters stick to their very low calorie diet protocol!

HCG, Weight Loss and Pregnancy
February 7, 2010 by Clint Westfall

The homeopathic HCG weight loss program is often referred to as the pregnancy diet. So many people hear this and immediately have questions come to mind. Does this mean that dieters are supposed to be pregnant? Does this somehow indicate that dieters are supposed to not be pregnant? Or does it mean that dieters have to have a history including pregnancy in order to undergo the program? Actually the answer is no.
So why is it called the Pregnancy Diet? It\’s a little odd at first, but the term did come about for a reason. HCG\’s official name is human chorionic gonadotropin. It\’s a glycoprotein hormone produced during pregnancy. It\’s created by the developing embryo soon after conception and later on by the placenta.
The HCG\’s purpose during the course of pregnancy is to protect the corpus luteum of the ovary from disintegration. In this way it preserves progesterone production continues as is critical during human pregnancy. It has also been suggested that HCG affects the immune tolerance of the pregnancy.
The relationship between HCG and pregnancy is known to the general public because of the noticeable increase in HCG during pregnancy. It\’s one of the signs used to determine pregnancy using early on tests.
Another reason HCG is often referred to as a Pregnancy Diet is due to the heavy use of HCG in fertility treatments. HCG is used extensively as a parenteral fertility medication. In certain instances ovulation can be triggered by administration of HCG. HCG is used during the IVF process to trigger the ovulation process. It is also used to increase/enhance the production of progesterone. HCG is also used for male fertility treatment. It can stimulate the leydig cells to synthesize testosterone.
HCG as a weight loss aid was introduced by Dr. Simeons over 50 years ago. The original plan was dependent upon daily injections. Recent evolution of the HCG and its administration has led to reputable homeopathic oral formulas that enable dieters to take advantage of the weight loss benefits without injections. The oral administration method has increased the general acceptance of the method leading to a massive explosion in the popularity of HCG weight loss method in the last year.
