Anxiety attacks might be controlled thru medicine, but this customarily involves building up a particular level of beta blockers in your body tissue. Tranquilizers can help , but are addictive and may exacerbate the attacks over a period. In the meantime, you can simply learn one or two relaxation methods to bring your panic in order or to really prevent an incipient attack from happening.
First, you want to be taught how to breathe properly. This involves slowly inhaling thru your for a count of about 4 seconds. Hold the breath for up to 7 seconds and then slowly exhale through your mouth, making a slight whooshing sound by clenching your teeth together. Try and lengthen the exhalation for roughly 8 seconds if possible ( with a bit of practice it is ).
Now, try to visualize your panic like it were an object you might focus on. Tell it to leave, that you are in control, and that you won\’t panic. Assure yourself that there\’s zilch wrong and therefore the panic object is a rude visitor who needs to be expelled.
After a minute of \”Visualizing\” your panic, it\’s time to relax your body\’s muscles. Start with the feet by clenching the muscles and releasing them. Work your way up your body tightening and relaxing muscle groups until you\’ve reached your head. If you are still feeling panicky, repeat the process, beginning with the respiring techniques we described.
Surprisingly, in most situations, having an attack of anxiety in public regularly goes fully unnoticed by those around you. Outwardly, you can appear calm and picked up, despite the chaos you are feeling. Use this to your advantage to silently control your sentiments of panic as you apply the relaxation strategies discussed.
These attacks of fear or dread are zilch to sneeze at, and you should follow up with your health practitioner or first carer as soon as possible to pinpoint the root cause of the problem. In the meantime, these basic methodologies to focus you and relax have proved effective for many sufferers of anxiety who are fighting to discover how to stop anxiety attacks in a crisis!

How I Stopped My Anxiety Attacks and OCD
This has helped me tremendously and I hope it helps your
readers as well…
Hi, my name is Derek J. Soto. I suffered with Anxiety and OCD for
many years. Over these years I have learned a few things that have
helped me stop these things in my life.
Anxiety and OCD make you feel worried about things that
others would simply not be as worried about. I remember
when I used to worry about flying on a plane or traveling
long distances in a car. I would have to take medications
and they never really helped, they only took the edge off.
I didn’t want to take the edge off however, I wanted to get
rid of my anxiety and OCD for good. I’m sure that is why
you are reading this.
Here are some things that I did that helped me. I know
that if you do these things, they’ll help you too. One of the
things that you can do is to realize when you are focusing
on your anxiety thoughts and/or your OCD thoughts.
When you focus on things that make you miserable, you
of course will feel miserable. When you focus on things
that make you happy and things that you want in your
life, you will then be happy!
The reason why you are focusing on negative thoughts
is because it’s a habit. You need to make thinking
positive thoughts your new habit. Positive thinking will
not help you alone though. You need to act as if you
don’t have anixety and/or OCD. It’s almost “fake it till
you make it.” If you want to be an actor, you have to
“act” first before you become an actor. If you want to
become a doctor, you first have to “be a doctor to
people” in a supervised training facility. If you want to
be a basketball player, you have to be a basketball
player and practice and play in games. So if you want
to be anxiety and OCD free, you must also
“act as if” …
