3 Day Diet Reviews

Are you considering going on the 3 day diet? Reviews are hard to come by, but I’m going to give you my honest opinion of the program. The 3 day diet is a very low calorie diet that claims you will lose anywhere between 3 and 10 pounds (depending on the writer) in just 3 days. Here’s my 3 day diet reviews.
First of all, I’m going to start my 3 day diet review’s with the good points.
The diet is very low in calories. Some versions of the diet include ½ a grapefruit at every meal which means the diet has 900 calories. Others feature it at just one meal which takes the diet down to 750 calories. Obviously, these calorie levels are not sustainable, but remember this is just a 3 day diet. You can fast for that long, so having some food to keep you going won’t harm you.
The second positive thing I’m going to mention in my 3 day diet reviews is that there is no fancy cooking required to sustain this diet. If you can boil an egg and cook veggies in the microwave, you can go on this diet. The foods required are basic: cottage cheese, saltine crackers, carrots, apples, etc.
The third thing that is nice about this diet is that the food you are asked to eat in no way harms you. You’ll be eating fruits, vegetables, lean meats, etc. In many ways, you are better off with this program than you would be eating a couple of meals at a fast food joint. There’s no “trick” to the 3 day diet, it’s just very low in calories.
But there are some downsides to the diet. For instance, you may only lose a couple of pounds for all of your starving, not the 10 pounds some proponents claim.
Also, I would be remiss in not mentioning that extended use of this diet program would surely lead to anorexia. The name of the diet is “The 3 Day Diet” for a reason – it should only be used for three days.
Another thing worth mentioning in this 3 day diet reviews is that you are probably going to be hungry on this program. The meals are quite small. Breakfast and lunch are about 200 calories a piece and dinner is about 350 calories. If you are used to 2000 to 3000 calorie diets (what most Americans eat), you are going to be famished. If you can suck it up and say “it’s only 3 days” you’ll survive. But, if you are not mentally prepared for the hunger challenges on the 3 day diet, you are likely to give in to your urge to eat more.
In short, the 3 day diet does work. You will probably lose between 3 to 6 pounds. The 10 pound claims are from very large people who try it. Most of the pounds lost will be from water weight. You can’t go on the diet on an extended basis.
My 3 day diet reviews overall picture is that if you want to lose weight for a specific purpose in the very near future (a wedding next weekend, an upcoming high school reunion), it’s worth doing. As an extended diet plan, it won’t work.

Interesting! Right now I am in the process of doing daily exercise and eating fruits and veggies. Hope this will show good results.
Alot depends on your motivation level. I’ve been doing 500 calories a day for 2 months now. Now it’s really hard to think about eating more most days but I’m working on upping it again as I know 500 calories a day is not sustainable long term. I’m also walking 1/2 – 1 hour a day and now adding pole dancing this week. I’m hoping the extra exercise this week will make up for the calorie additions but I would say three days ought to be a piece of cake by comparison to 2 months.
Liz thats way to low on the calories. Its not safe for you.try atleast 800 cal. a day and you will still loose the same ammount of weight.even 1000 cal. you will loose fast weight with excercise combined.it doesnt do any good to be thin if you damage your heart or something in the process.that low of calories with excercise is like starving yourself.google some info. about how dangerous a 500 cal diet a day with excercise is and check out some facts before something bad happens.I dont say this to be mean.Just out of concern.I know I am the same way i want to loose fast.but you have to be careful.two plus months of basically starving your body can back fire on you when you least expect it and cause damage you might not be able to fix.good luck with the weight loss and please consider some added calories.even if its just half the week you should up them cal. for health reason.
I was originally given this diet in 1999, after my 1st baby, I used it and lost all 30 pounds of baby weight in about 4 weeks. I have used it after each of my babies, and have really loved that I get results quickly.
Actually, I am using now, as I have put on some extra weight that I don’t want. My weight loss varies, from 4-9 pounds each time I use it. I find the results show the morning after I finish my 3 days.
Oh! I also use an appetite suppressant to make sure I don’t think I’m starving. Hope this helps!
Thursday 18th November 2010 3 DAY DIET
I have completed this diet tonnes of times. Yes it IS a temprary weight loss plan but arn’t all relistically temporary? until we loose the weight we want to? I have always been very successful. I have just started it again to loose some poundage for christmas skinny clothes lol. I started on monday 15th and have lost 3lbs already I always continue the diet for the following 4 days sometimes i stick to more or less the same food but a little more vegetables and fruit, only for the first week then follow 3 days following the 3 day diet then for 4 days have 3 well ballanced healthy eating plan. I usually loose about 6 lbs which is fantastic in the first week, then 3 from then on which is healthy. It IS a very hard plan to follow but my key that got me through was to drink plenty of water through the day or even Sugar free juice with water.I always take a auplimentary multi vitamin too.
Try it be good and be sensible!!
